ok gotta bring up the past here. anyone know where i can listen to the Raul podcast. I just downloaded all the ones available on itune and it wasn't on the list.
My iTunes library lists it at #50. Does that help?
I think Raul's ATW interview was on the American Theater Wing website.
passingthrough-This is definitely better than school. I've passed up lots of homework time to read and/or post in this thread.
yes, Manley Pope played Devon on SVH.
I also never knew that Manley was in the infamous "Temptation" movie also!
My iTunes has it as #50 as well.
This thread is really active today considering Adam has done nothing new.
hahaha, yes he was!
no gg it's not, not that i saw anyway. it looks like they only have the latest 30 or so available. I got 158-127. anyway you could email me the file maybe? i dont know how that works
I believe this is the link:

o o o *pant, pant, pant* thank you thank you
No problem. It's a good interview with him. Very interesting.
I wonder how Adam will portray Roger this time.
btw is it me or does it seem like roger has gotten a bit more... what's the best way to put it... can't think of a nice way... violent with the passing years?
lol he'd probably be mortified if he did. he has forgotten a few times. i've seen video of him forgetting the words to Rent & One Song Glory. Both times he looked like he wished he could just vanish. Even when he forgot the words in Chess rehearsal he looked mortified
Tim Howar's Roger is very violent at times, and he's the most recent.
yeah i saw some of his on video and even in the 10th anniversary one, adam seemed a bit more than before too.
*Edit: not nearly as violent as Tim but still more than the earlier video i saw of adam.
sorry baby hit the mouse and posted before i was done
I can't see Adam being as violent as Tim. Tim borderlined scary.
Yes, Tim scares me. From what I have and heard and seen, i have seriously disliked his take on the character.
He was better the second time. When Tim is calmer, he's good. But when he gets over-violent, it's scary.
oh yeah i didn't mean that adam was anywhere near as violent or as scary as tim but it was almost like he looked at what the other roger's had done and thought maybe i should take it up a notch.
I love angry Rogers. I don't really think it's that they've gotten angier over the years, though -- just more overtly demonstrative about it. Adam's Roger was pretty angry, but it was that kind of anger that's bottled up enough to evoke a volcano just bubbling, about to explode. A lot of the more recent Rogers have been more physically violent and stuff.
Especially during Goodbye Love. I saw a video with a particular physical Adam and Anthony taken from around 1997 (not the full OBC though).
I've seen that video too GuitarGirl. It's pretty intense.
I actually like Tim's take on Roger. Bat-sh*t-CRAZY Roger is fun. :)

Guitar - I think that was one of the more "emotional" Goodbye Loves from 1997, or so people say. I have only seen Tim's Roger in video, but I remember when he hit the "dies" note in Glory, he looked like he was having an aneurysm. It seems like he varies from performance to performance, though. I really liked Adam's Roger because he was bottled up, and you just had the sense that Mimi was going to make him explode at any minute, and that she was brave for doing that.
I love how in the Chatterbox he talks about being afraid that he's going to forget lines. I was like, "who, you? nahh..."
Maybe he'll have the index cards on the table for One Song Glory again.
At least he knows to expect it.
It's better to be prepared. :)
