the thread ate my post so I'm reposting

well, he definitely helped me stay awake, but he wasn't the reason I was up all night.

I'm taking college classes but my youngest is only 3 months so she's pretty needy during the day. Every time i lay her down during the day she's awake within 15 minutes so the only time i can get any work done is at night after about 9.

I am having oral surgery on Wed. so I was finishing up some assignments and trying to get a bit ahead so i don't have to worry about it.

Sorry to cut in on your question for Tink, Polly, I just wanted to say a quick hi. And everybody here is so sweet; happy for me that I get to see Adam. As far as meeting him ... I've got social issues. Hee hee. No joke, though, I'll just be happy if I can get through the concert without a panic attack. I honestly think meeting him would be traumatic for me than satisfying. But I'm glad those of you who wanted to meet him got the chance! It is sweet when any performer/actor does that because it's definitely not required of them.

oh no prob hun. tink's dad is visiting so i don't know when she'll get around to answering.

in the chess rehearsal video it's kinda funny when raul finishes his song. he makes a little face and says something to the effect of "I'm trying to look cool without falling in the pit." I just thought it was hilarious and wanted to know if tink had watched it yet.

Polly, you are my hero. I never knew what Raul said in that line, I watched it a million times too. I got as far as "I'm trying to look cool without..." and I could never figure out the rest.

i had to explain to my mom how to use that too. my mom is entranced by adam too. every time i talk to her, i hear his music in the background lol. she goes on and on about how talented he is. while i agree, it's frankly weird to hear my mom say this.

So I'm watching the video where the part Adam kisses the girl with dark curly hair (the last one Polly uploaded) and I was wondering; is that Laura Benanti? They had an upclose shot of her face and it looked kind of like her.

No, IBDb doesn't list that Laura was in Chess. She did HAIR, though.

Raul's antics are easily the best part of that video.

Polly, I laughed out loud the first time I watched that. I saw this video before Company, and I only knew Raul because of tick tick boom, but honestly, that video makes me love him even more.
I also love the part when he laughs when Adam smacks Joshs' hand.

yeah he's very funny. Adam wiggling his butt at the dancers is funny too. you can tell for the most part he's really concentrating though. Anyway, here's some pics of raul dancing in the background:

He's actually a really good dancer though, I notice it more and more. Overall he has a great way of moving on stage - he can be comedic and dramatic.

you know i've heard a lot of crap about how chubby raul was at the time this was done, but i think it was just the costume. I mean here, in the rehearsal pictures, he is not looking chubby. I think, in the pictures taken on performance night, the clothing he was wearing just wasn't right for him

Well, Raul can dance. Like, really dance. He just doesn't there. It's more what I'd call a... flail. And that's kind.
