aloha everyone, spent the last week in Maui, it was awesome.........so, do any of you think this story of Adam and Anthony reprizing their roles in RENT in August really true? it sounds kinda odd, but yet plausible too.....

more like nine pages back. okay, has Adam ever done any shows in California BESIDES his concerts? ie: RENT, Aida? I am just wondering if I'll ever be able to see him in a show, I don't think I can go to NYC this summer, daughter is having major hip surgery at Stanford on June 14th. she's hoping I'll fly her to NYC in August, not likely.

He's never done theater on the West Coast, no. If he stays out there, though, it could certainly happen some day.

That's strange since he lives out there, I know there are so many Adam fans on the west coast who are mad he never performs there.

I have no idea why he hasn't done theater in LA, but my best guess is that if he's out there to do film, that's what he's going to try and do, as opposed to going right back to theater, you know?

I love how since he's moved to LA, all of his jobs have been on the east coast.

oh whoops, I am such an airhead. I thought you meant concerts on the West Coast, not theater. Okay, this weather and working too many hours is getting to me.

He said he was disillusioned with the direction that theater is going in NY, and thats why he moved to CA. So I'm assuming he has just been working on music out there, and hasn't seen any projects worth signing on to. California does have decent theater, though, but I dont know how it compares to NY. I cant help but think that some of the problems he's seeing in NY theater aren't present on the west coast.

The theatre scene in LA is...severely lacking. No actor moves to LA to do theatre; they do theatre there when they can't find any work in film/TV/commercials/waiting tables/porn... And specifically in comparison to Broadway, unless it was some special engagement with a stuntcast headliner, the theatre actors in LA make a fraction of what they would on Broadway. So in the off-chance Adam did revert back to theatre, I doubt he'd do it in LA.
