re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

I hope all you out-of-towners are able to get here.

Ever since reading Adam's first blog about going back, I've been imagining the unfortunate Rent publicist, throwing up his hands and ripping to shreds his carefully thought out PR plan for announcing their return. Anthony's comments caused some stir, but nothing like the publicity Adam's blog did.

I think "good" tickets will be hard to come by for those 6 weeks, but I don't expect a sell out crowd every performance. Maybe for Fri/Sat, but I don't know about weeknights. But then again, I am often wrong!

I got 6th row center orchestra (with a discount) for a Thursday night. I didn't expect to find seats that good.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

I got 9th Row center for Sat 25 PM performance, at reg cost. It's my b-day present so I really didn't put too much effort into discount searching.

My friends may want to see it sometime during their run so I might be going 1 - 2 times more. And those will have to be discount, lol!

Oh, and I got let go from my job yesterday so now I may be free to go to BB Kings. I'll keep you posted because I would need peeps to sit with! re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

That was one of my first thoughts too, Chloe, but I'm in the middle of making a huge PR Campaign for a Broadway show, so that's all that's been on my mind lately.

I got tickets on the 16th Row F Center. I want to try to go on Sept. 9th because it's the day after my actual birthday. One of my roommmates surprisingly suggested taking me.

I got Row C, Orchestra Right and was so happy to get good seats. I'm so happy that I live near NYC right now.

The more I think about it, the more excited I get. I've been wanting to go back to the show for a while, too. I miss it!

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

If only my trip could have been planned for a month later and if my trip included seeing Rent I would be a happy person. I'm jealous!

Actually I am pretty happy anyway because I'm going to New York for the first time, but that would make it so much better.

I'm going to see if I can work out travel plans, probably under the pretext of college visiting with a little Adam and Anthony thrown in.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

That's great, JL! Right now I've got tickets for the start of their run, but I'll probably end up going near the end too.

Dancin, I'm sure you'll have a great time anyway. Feel free to ask us New Yorkers about what to do in the city.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

I want to go towards the end of their run, too.

My tickets are Row H, Orchestra Right. I was happy to take whatever I could get, honestly! I'm wondering if people will be sneaking in cameras to these performances. I'm still always suprised when I see pics from Broadway shows, I thought they were so strict. Then again, without a flash you cant really tell, I guess.

tink - sorry about your job, but at least it clears you up for bb kings?

If anyone's interested, on the main board there having a discussion on an AIDA animated musical. Someone posted a link to some character concept sketchs; its definiatly worth checking out.

Thanks for that heads up Brina!

I went ahead and got a ticket for BB Kings. Still not 100% positive I'm going, but it looks hopeful.

Do you think we are going to get a lot of newbies to this thread once it gets closer to August? I kind of like out select little bunch we got here!

This idea seems to come up a lot, so I wonder if Disney has ever thought about making Aida into a film.

Word is spreading. Can anyone translate?

Broadway: Anthony Rapp & Adam Pascal wieder bei “Rent”
Martin Bruny am Sonntag, den 6. Mai 2007 · Filed under Musical, Musical/Broadway

[Adam's "spilled the beans" post]

Was lernen wir daraus? Was früher der Dorftrommler war, ist heute “mySpace”.

ETA: Tink, I don't know, but the group here does keep changing.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

It's German, and here's the best translation I could find:

Broadway: Anthony Rapp & Adam Pascal again in "Rent" Martin Bruny on Sunday, the 6 May 2007 · Filed under musical,
musical/Broadway

On its „mySpace”-Site, Adam Pascal mentioned it before a couple of days. To early by the way so that it had to remove its posting nimbly again. To be sure yet to late, for Playbill was it nevertheless a headline valued: Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp turn to the Broadway-production of "Rent" back - for six weeks from the 30 July to the 9 September 2007. Now all is official. There is a new entry of Adam Pascal that reads there:

[Adam it "spilled the beans" postal service]

What do we learn from that? What earlier the village drummer was, is today "mySpace".

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, Part 12

lol! Tink, glad you will be able to maybe make the show. So many more people would go if it were on a Friday or Saturday night, and considering Adam's fan demographic - NOT during finals week. I am in grad school but still ready to pull my hair out at the rest of these 6 assignments I have to do...

Yeah, I wonder if more ppl will come to the thread over the summer. hmm...

I don't know if I can go. My finals that had been nicely spread out are now all one on top of the next because I was sick for so long.

I know, I'm gonna try really hard to make it. :-/ I mean, the show itself isn't that long, so if I work my butt off, I can probably go.
