Right, I doubt he's taking serious offense to it at this point and it's more of a tongue-in-cheek comment.
Those pictures are great, misschung. Much better than the ones that I'll post!
Hah! One other thing. When introducing I'm With You, he said something like "9/11 and the birth of my first son happened within about a month of each other - these two catastrophic events in my life really inspired a lot of music" to which everyone cracked up. It's not as funny typed on a thread, but the faux pas was hilarious. To be fair, he then said he loved his kids and missed them, but still. Catastrophe.
That was my favorite. "Only one of those things was catastrophic; I LOVE MY KIDS!" (or whatever) lol.

Oh yeah, that was funny! I somehow managed to take like 40 pictures last night, don't ask me how. It was hard to get a good one of him and Larry together bc they kept switching up the stage lighting.
It was funny when he was like "You guys so didnt see me in Cabaret!!"

You should post more of them. Mine are grainy, even though I was semi-close to the stage.
The lack of Cabaret love in his audiences makes me so sad. Maybe This Time is one of my favorite songs of all time, musical theater or otherwise, so hearing him sing it means a lot to me. It makes me happy that he loved doing Cabaret so much. That production was the best thing I've ever seen.
I freely admit that I'm not a fan of Cabaret in general, but his "Maybe This Time" was a highlight of the concert for me.

me too, and it also made me excited that its COMING BACK to Broadway! God, I love that song and the show, especially Liza's version.
Anyway, here are some more

For some reason it makes me laugh when ppl are like right in front of a performer and just blatantly stick the camera right in their face. Girls in the front row took SO many pics of him and were just like holding the camera up in the air right under his face.
I also don't get why people talk through an entire performance. But I'm not complaining :)
Your pictures came out great! Much better than the few I attempted to take. They're not even worth posting- so blurry and heads in the way.
I thought the sound system was much better than other times, like last time at the Forum, when his voice could have filled the theatre much more. At times, it seemed like they had the mic on echo effect.
Well, to be fair, I've always heard/read that Adam encourages picture-taking, and videos too. I was in the front row in SF, and held my camera up for long periods of time actually filming songs. Although, now that I think about it, I tried to keep it down in my lap, pointed up at him, just so the people behind/next to me wouldn't be distracted by the little screen on the camera.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I thought it sounded great, though.
Did anyone else find it funny that Larry did that little piano bar intro when Adam was introducing his songs? It was like so faint in the background
Great pics. I didn't take any. My camera's not very good, so I just figured it wasn't worth it to bother -- someone was bound to get better ones.
He'd been encouraging audio and video because he wanted to see/hear them; I can't imagine flash photography is too comfortable for him, though.

Thanks, Emcee. I actually just got that camera last week, so this was my first time using it. I took a short video of him singing Glory too, I couldnt resist.
No, I mean I definetly don't think its wrong to take pictures - I basically took them all night, lol. I just think its funny sometimes when ppl put the camera right up to performers' faces bc I'm like how are they not getting distracted? But I'm sure they're used to it.
I am so glad that I can always count on you all for updates of these things.
I cant wait till july, have we already discussed who all is going on the first night?

Just out of curiosity, did anyone catch the song that someone requested to which he replied "I wrote that ten years ago and haven't played it since"? I hope it was something awful, like Which Way to Nowhere.
I was wondering the same thing, though. Maybe it was Just Here to the Left of You, although it hasn't been ten years since he last performed that, either.
Edited because I'm an idiot and I mixed up the songs.
ugh now I really want to know , he is so sassy!
I was wondering what song she asked also. There were a few things I didn't catch. Emcee and I heard very different things at one point when he said what he was doing with Larry.
What did you guys think of the new song? I'm not sure if I really like it as much as some of the other new ones. Granted, it was their first time playing it live.

New song was okay, kinda trippy. Unconventional song style.

I know you didn't mean it? But that sounds so dirty. Just sayin'.
I didn't LOVE the new song, but it was pretty. The star/moon/sun/sky/planet/space imagery is a little bit overkill, but yeah, it is pretty.
lol, Jenna thought Adam said they were "cuddling together," and I really thought I heard "coming together." I dunno how far he's willing to take that joke, heh!

HAH! It was definitely cuddling together, yeah.
I specifically remember the lyric "taste of atonement" and thought only Adam Pascal could make that sound dirty.
Well, I heard "cuddling", and she heard something not as nice. I still have no idea what he actually said.
ETA: Well I thought "she takes me all in" could be dirty, too, but that was probably just my mind going places it shouldn't.

Right, that's what I thought, but I think it was in reference to the ocean and its tide or something? There was also some line like "we meet at midnight" with something that I thought sounded sexual after it as well, but it was quite possibly just me looking for that sort of thing.
