Apparently he said something after one of the fall shows about how he smokes when he isn't home. I don't know if it's even possible to smoke regularly in one environment and quit as soon as you immediately enter the next, but I hope that answers your question.
I promised someone that I'd post about last night, so here goes:
Last night was great. His voice sounded well-rested and in great shape, and I'm sure the stellar BB King's sound system helped as well. He did the same setlist in a slightly different order as his other recent shows except for one new song. I asked what it was called ("that's a good question!") and he said that they haven't named it yet, but "Kickass Tune" seemed appropriate, adding that that should be the subtitle for all of his work. At any rate, it kind of reminded me of a Tori Amos song with the complicated piano work and seemingly unconnected phrases.
I posted about the post-show situation (or lack thereof) on the main board thread, but I have to add that I saw who I thought was his mother singing (or at least mouthing) along to the songs and looking so proud. Cute.
He still has the buzzcut with the natural hair color. Thankfully the gray hairs aren't as visible from a bit of a distance (or maybe he used Just for Men).

He was wearing jeans and a long-sleeve black shirt with crosses and hearts on it. Some people shouted out some of his "schtick" before he actually said it, to which he replied that he has a very limited amount of schtick and not to ruin it. I can't tell if he was slightly legitimately annoyed at that moment, but I do think most of his sarcasm directed at the audience was in good humor.
Lastly, I'm really sorry to subject this thread to a rant about the audience every time I post about one of his shows, but I think we somehow were completely unlucky in who was sitting at the table directly against ours. One of the girls had taken permanent marker and fashioned a "tattoo" saying "Adam Pascal" in the same style as Adam's. I don't think the audience was bad as a whole, really. These girls talked throughout Larry's entire song and basically just couldn't resist being obnoxious all night in one way or another. There's that part of his schtick where, after mentioning that he wrote a song for his wife, he says something like "half of you are like 'aw, that's so cute!' and the other half are like 'aw, that
bitch!'" One of the girls sitting by me stood up, pointed to herself, and identified herself as someone who's called her that. I highly doubt Adam took offense, but do you really want to act
proud of that? As a sidenote, someone sitting behind me then said "I love Cybele" really enthusiastically, to which Adam replied "so do I!" (All of this was funnier in person.) Another funny moment was when he was talking about how he used to read a post from "Zenachick" at his shows before Book of Endings. He actually said something like, "And that bitch had the nerve to come on MY WEBSITE and trash everything about my show!"
His website.
Feel free to ask any questions you have. I think he has the show pretty much down to routine by now (not in a bad way). I have a couple semi-good pictures that I'll post soon.
