I've always pictured Roger as the kinda guy who'd wear eyeliner. Maybe it's because I find the character of Roger sexy. And eyeliner is sexy, too, in a rock star kind of way.

There was plenty of eyeliner on flashback Roger in the movie. Adam's hair is quite a bit longer since when he started.

Ooooooooh...Adam's Roger wearing guyliner! I like it.

Actually, there's a Roger in a couple of the desktops on siteforrent.com who's wearing makeup, and I like that look a lot -- especially for Roger. Anyone know who this is?

You think Declan looks like a Roger? Really? I saw pictures of him and my first thought was "What happened to pretty boy frontman?" and the second was "Isn't Roger supposed to be an EX-junkie?" I dunno. Roger is supposed to be the "hot" one and compared with Harley Jay, Declan...not so much.

Yeah, I like that he looks tired...and a little wasted...as though he once WAS the "pretty boy front man."

Or maybe, now that I've looked at more on Declan's site, I'm just thinking "oh baby," regardless of the Roger thing.

Ok, Harley's a total cutie, too, but maybe a little TOO pretty for a Roger -- not that he couldn't make himself edgier. But based on his headshots alone, I don't see an edge.

Then again, I like rockers. Declan is plenty "pretty" for my tastes.

ANOTHER EDIT: Ok, I didn't realize Harley Jay was Mark. Cute, but not hot. Roger should be hot.

If I'd actually liked Declan's Roger, I know I would have found him incredibly attractive. In that way where he's kind of ugly. I'm a fan of the eyeliner, though. And the receding hairline.

I love Harley Jay. I know someone who's interviewing him very soon.

Mark can be a little cute. My best friend thinks Roger, as a character, is hot. She's attracted to rocker types.

When she saw a picture of Adam as Roger (in the NY Times) she said, "Wow! He's hot!" It made me laugh. The way she said it was kind of funny.

When I saw those pictures of Declan Bennett, my first thought was that he had better have an amazing voice. To my eyes he looks about 40. It says on his myspace that he is 26, but to me he looks about a decade older that Adam.

"Pretty" is relative, though. I have friends who prefer Anthony over Adam. It's just a matter of personal tastes and types.

I looked at the pictures with Harley and Declan, and my first thought was, "That Mark is too pretty -- not geeky enough...but Roger looks good." So, from my perspective, it would be more accurate to say that Harley is too pretty to be Mark, rather than saying Declan isn't pretty enough to be Roger.

I didn't really find Harley Jay pretty. I found him attractive because I liked him, but he's...kind of an oblong goon type. I thought he was goofy enough.

Chris Hanke was good looking, moreso than Tim Howar offstage, but pretty dorky as Mark.

Anthony is good looking in a different way than Adam that's good for Mark.

I agree with you, Craww. I tend to suddenly find people attractive because I like their performances. Pretty people are all very well, but if their performance sucks, they generally lose the attraction (appearance and other) for me. That's how I've stayed with Adam over the years - he sometimes makes terrible fashion choices, but he's so damn talented that it doesn't matter.

Yeah, I think Christopher J. Hanke is probably a bit more attractive than Tim Howar. Though my preference on that differs.

If there's one thing that crazy double team of Cary Shields and Matt Caplan got right, it's the Roger sexiness to Mark goofiness ratio. They might have gotten it too right, maybe that's one of the reasons they blew.
