I'm jealous of you guys that are going to the concert! I'll be spending my Friday night working and on a train. Have fun!

Adam's arms...I can't say I ever really got why so many people drooled over them until this summer.

I know, that happened a little while after I joined here. It sure doesn't feel like three years.

Yikes, someone posted on the birthday blog comments that she was sorry to hear about Adam's recent divorce. I'll bet she read the RP Adam Pascal's journal entry about that. I don't think those journals have big enough disclaimers.

Role-playing. There are a bunch of people writing LJs and pretending to be various Broadway actors. I've only stumbled across the "Adam Pascal" one a couple of times and don't know the whole story regarding them, but for a moment I thought it was him. There were a lot of correct details about his life, aside from the "divorce," but I realized fairly quickly that this person was a lot more familiar with the shift key than Adam is, then saw the little "disclaimer" button that takes you to a page saying it's all fictional. Someone not so familiar with him could possibly be fooled though.

I saw that RP a while ago while doing one of those ljseek searches. Very creepy.

I came across these older interviews today while doing some research for work. They were all new to me, so I figured I'd share. I'm jealous of the people who have heard him perform "Just Here.."

Those 'role-playing' blogs are a bit to disturbing for my tastes. I mean it's different if there actually writing about a character in first person(IE: Mark or Roger); but when there posing as someone else who is REAL that gets downright creepy.

Pascal performed a great set despite the teeny-bopper atmosphere supplied by some adolescent non-Adelphi fans who treated the show as more of a N'Sync Concert than a rock show. Pascal was distracted at points by notes being handed to him by the screaming females asking for his guitar picks or his used water bottles ("do whatever you want with them," Pascal quipped). He also had to deal with fans begging for him to perform songs from Rent and Aida but Pascal quickly quieted them by saying "I'm not contractually obligated to perform those but for 85 dollars you can see me at the Palace Theater in Aida." However, it was a small price to pay for doing what he admitted loving best in his December interview with the Delphian, playing rock and roll in a small and intimate environment. Pascal proved that even if your general audience is small, if you're talented, you can still bring the house down.

And nothing has changed but got worse 6 years later, lol

Too true. The water bottle comment is funny.

I don't think that RP stuff is current, but it's still floating around, ready to confuse people.

hey ladies... back from night 2 of bon jovi.

Guitar Girl, did you have fun!?!?! talk about nose bleed seats... wow, i was up there tonight.

i've seen the RP stuff and for a second I thought it was real too. But as someone mentioned, the mechanics of typing are better than adam, but you're right there needs to be a bigger disclaimer on that stuff.

Great interviews. I like the first one; I've never seen that one before.

I did have fun. The traffic getting there was terrible, so we got there just as My Chemical Romance was starting (people kept asking me who they were). And Bon Jovi-wow! He is amazing. And he has such a long set of songs! It was great. And some of his "dancing" is really funny.
