I know its been a couple days but I wanted to give you a brief update of Adam's show on Friday.
It was pretty much the same usual songs, with the exception of one new song something with "find me" it was slow like a love song, I will have to listen to clarify, and Larry did Will I Drown(ps I am with ya on that one Lexi).
Funniest joke of the night - He came out and went to the mic and said I am glad they listened to me, I told them don't sell more than 200 seats. (the theatre was half empty)
Hi Book of Endings schtick was different again, he said something about the fact that its not written for anyone specific like he always does, but then he said he will have an encounter with someone and think - "its about HER". He also said "its not about the young fans, I can take anything from the young fans" he said it was about the old crazy fans, and by old he said "like 50 year olds those ladies are crazy".
It was really funny because we went into the theatre, and it was really nice theatre, and the majority of the people looked like they were dressed for opening night on Broadway. When he came out he said something about noticing that a lot of people in the audience didn't really know what they were coming to tonight, they must of just heard he was a broadway guy, and then he promised to sing a couple broadway songs, and then he apologized for his "trucker mouth". He said you might here a few f*cks and ****s.
After the show we went around to the stage door which was more like a loading dock/garbage area. We waited with like 30 other people, the roadie guy (steve?) came out and I thought he was going to tell us all to leave, but instead he told everyone to make a line and Adam would be right out. There was also a lady filming the stage door which I assume is for that Fuse special.
He came out and thanked everyone for waiting despite the smell, by now there were more like 50 people. When he got to us we told him how excited we were that he was finally coming to MI he smiled and said "now you girls don't have to travel for once". I asked about if the Jan MSU concert was going to be the same show, and at first he said yes, but then he said well no that he would be trying to do more new songs! We talked for a second while he signed the pic I took at the last concert and when we were walking away he said it was nice to see us again.
I have pics I will post them later!
...and still you hold on, to every old song... - Adam Pascal
