Here's something sweet from a mom's blog:

I have a great love for both adam pascal and anthony rapp. both were very, very kind to my oldest daughter as she and her equally fixated best friend stalked them thorugh the streets of manhattan on a number of occasions. these guys could have been aloof and maintained a distance. hell knows that i would have! but they were warm and generous with their time, posed for umpteen pics over the years and made some teenaged/adult girls very happy.

Heh, the sentiment is sweet, but that's sort of trumped by, "what kind of mother would support what she herself views as stalking?"

God, I'm such a cynic.

My interpretation: these two girls became fans of them in Rent and have since done a lot of stagedooring at various Adam and Anthony performances, where they were warmly received. You know that if they had actually been stalkeresque, Adam would have run in the other direction.

I figured "stalking" was a hyperbole, but many parents would fully endorse behavior most of us would consider over the line.

"Oh look! Adam Pascal walking determinedly towards the theatre on his cell phone with his headphones in- go ask for a picture!!!"

*Mother babbles on and on about how much daughter loves Adam while Adam waits (im)patiently for her to figure out how to work digital camera so he can move on with life and get back to his phone call*

Yeah, some mothers are like that. I doubt if they'd be grateful for the attention though, just consider it what their little darlings deserve.
