I'm totally not bursting in here all sparkly, like, "Heeey, LOOK WHO ELSE IS BACK!!" *curtains back, applause*

I've never been too far away. Just needed some time...

I've missed you all very much!

matjomae - the emails to be part of the scene I was in seemed to have been sent out arbitrarily, and frankly, I lucked out. According to the email I received, they were looking for only about ten girls of a certain age, so what good would it have done to post the information? To flood the coordinator's inbox with requests to be part of the scene, most of which could not possibly be fulfilled?

As for the email regarding the move of the theatre scene, even I received that later than some people did and I assumed that everyone was ultimately going to receive the email explaining that. Frankly, I'm kind of offended that you think that I was keeping information from others on this thread for my own personal "gain," not to mention that I wasn't aware that posting on this thread entered me into some contract of having to report everything Adam-related.

This sort of thing is the reason why I didn't even want to mention my experience in the first place. People feel jealous, slighted, whatever.

ETA: matjomae, I just saw your more recent post. Consider everything dropped, although I don't want to remove this post entirely as I still want to defend myself. Updated On: 11/19/06 at 11:05 PM

Weeeell, I auditioned for a local production of The Pajama Game today, and it went really, really well. So I'm sort of still grinning about that. Other than that, I'm job-hunting, which is never a fun thing!

siamese, I enjoyed hearing about your day! Glad you had a good time. :)

Now, how are you all? I've been following along a bit, so I'm not completely lost!

Hey Allie! Thank you! It's great to see you around here again. I just got back from Rent (front row center!) and... another show that won't be named. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Great, I really hope you get the part!

Lexi, I don't know how far past matjomae's initial post you've read, but it was partly based on a misunderstanding. She thought you were talking about the concert scene. It's all been cleared up.

I was front row but a little to the right when I saw rent, I couldn't really see over the speakers, I missed all of I'll Cover You.

Why is a certain show not to be named?

#2587re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I didn't, but orangeskittles and sweetestsiren did, thank God. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Um... there wasn't a ACL performance today, so we ended up seeing... Tarzan. YES, totally embarrassing, I know. But we paid $20 and were moved up to practically the best seats in the theatre.

Don't judge us!

Hey, I would see Tarzan. The acrobatics on the wires look cool, and who doesn't love Phil Collins? Not my first choice, by any means, but I definitely wouldn't turn it down!

Tarzan was awful, but we knew that going in. Every song sounded the same, and considering it's a Disney musical, the sets could have been a lot less cheap-looking. It was just horrible all around, but in all honesty, we went for Josh Strickland. YES, we know he's gay, but come on. He's in a loin cloth. All these cheerleaders we having him sign their coats after the show, so I asked him to sign my jeans. He WINKED at me. GOD. Awkward gay flirting, much? Tim Howar signed my jeans later; he asked me where I wanted him to sign them and I told him to go for the thigh.

We had so many awkward stagedoor experiences this weekend that I could really write a book.

The acrobatics weren't even cool? *crushed*

Ahaha, he signed your thigh? I love it!

Oh, I guess the acrobatics were pretty cool? I mean, it's cool to see people swing back and forth, but after a while, it's not really a spectacular sight anymore.

Aw, haha too bad about Tarzan. Heh, at least you got two cute guys in one night to sign your jeans!

Ahh, I'm so exhausted, but this weekend has been so much fun! It was great to meet some of you, and I'd say that many awesome/hilarious/overall fun memories have been made. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

And yes, Tarzan really is that bad! It's not as though it's unwatchably bad or anything like that, but it's just so painfully mediocre. Some of the parts were funny that definitely weren't meant to be, though. Still, it was something to see, and I was forced to admit that Josh Strickland isn't altogether bad to look at. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Winning the Rent lotto was such good luck -- orangeskittles' name was one of the first called, and mine was the very last, so it really looked like one of us was going to have to buy a ticket separately. I love the current cast, aside from Maggie Benjamin as Maureen, so it was so great to see it again and with really great seats.

For the record, siamese dream being hesistant to post about the experience after the fact was not because she didn't want people to know or wanted to be elitist about it and only tell as select few. It was because the scene filmed had such a small group of extras (9 girls total) and not all of them were Adam fans, so posting nearly any detail about it would be basically exposing herself to any potential lurkers (hi Adam). It's one thing to say you'll be front row at a concert and worry he knows in advance; it's entirely different to spend 7 hours with him on a movie set and have a filmed record of who she is. If she even posted her "line" from the scene, anyone connected with the movie would immediately recognize her. If the scene ends up making the movie, EVERYONE that reads her post (honestly, don't underestimate the amount of lurkers in this thread) will recognize her. I don't blame her for being hesitant- how many of us are even willing to post pictures of ourselves on this thread?

I understand how people can feel there is a clique on this thread; a year ago, even I rarely posted here. But honestly, none of us even met each other before BWW. It started with conversations in the thread, then PMs, then IMs, then eventually led to crazy/hilarious experiences in New York together.

Speaking of which, I agree; Tarzan was an awful show. This could have been saved by amazing special effects, but I feel like what they had wasn't enough. I mean, yes, they had acrobatic gorillas swinging out over the audience and the butterfly, but Disney- especially after the amount of time and effort they put into developing this show- could have done better. At one point, the special effects were so odd that I thought they were portraying something completely different- I thought the parents' corpses were hanging, when it was supposed to show that they were passed out on a beach, so the misconception was a bit jarring. But Josh Strickland in a loin cloth = re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Hey Katt! Wow, how did everyone manage to somehow crawl back to this thread tonight?

Just to comment on the "clique" situation. Knowing that most of you know one another and have side conversations beyond this thread, it's only natural to feel a little left out at times. Also the fact that most of you are older than me, kind of leaves me out of certain things; I wish I could just walk outside in NYC and meet all of you or see a show with you, but unfortuatly that task will never be that easy, considering that I have my parents literally watching my every move. But that of course is understandable. I wish I could know all of you better and hopefully have the pleasure of meeting some of you in the near future!
