Oh come on, you can do better than that. I know other people here have already told us a lot, but give us your personal impressions, dancing.
Not yet. I spoke to her a bit ago, though -- she says she'll send them out tomorrow.
Thanks Em!
Okay, my personal impressions... It was a LOT of sitting around. A lot of sitting around a lot of repetition. It was a lot of fun though. For the first few scenes (before lunch), I got to sit in the front row. The guy who played Manny was pretty funny, although some of his jokes were dumb. The makeup lady (Anna, I think), took me into the makeup room to fix my hair and face at one point. I really hadn't paid much attention to the other person in there until I finally turned around and realized it was Amy Davidson. Even though it was kind of tiring, the whole thing was a really great experience. The whole crew was so nice. Adam was great to watch on stage. He's so funny. That dance was great. He's also really sweet. I had a good time. I probably ran into a few of you.
I have to say, the call was false advertising. It didn't make it sound like we were doing as much as we did.
Oh, and I really like "Eye to Eye."
Thanks - shooting a film always seems to involve immense amounts of sitting around, but I'm glad you had fun despite that. I gather "Eye to Eye" is a really different sound for Adam, so I'm looking forward to hearing it.
It's definitely catchy, even if it's kinda... awesomely bad. I've had it stuck in my head all day.
It's bad? In what way?
It's cheesy, but you can tell it's supposed to be. It's just very... cliche nineties over-produced boy-band sounding pop. The lyrics are hilarious and clever in places, but so cliche, as well. I wish I could remember them. :/
Yay! It sounds like you guys had an awesome time. I definitely want to see this movie.
Let's hope it has (or gets) a distributor, Elphie.
So, the song's bad in a good way. If it's that catchy they might try to release it as a single.
I've been humming it most of the day, and I only heard it a few times, so I guess that's a good thing.
The only lyrics I remember were "You are the story/you are my glory" and "In my____, In my dreams, I am always by your side" or something close to that.
"Don't let life pass you by, something something eye to eye?" Heh.
I dunno if it's really single material, because it's "supposed" to be bad. Kind of like Heal Me, I'm Heartsick was. The latter is a little bit easier to listen to, I think, but this one's an earworm.

I don't think it's supposed to be bad, actually. It's the single that propels Bobby back to stardom.
I'm sorry to hear about all of the waiting around, but I really think that's the norm for movie sets. It didn't seem like a really long time because I was talking with the other girls, the crew, and Adam (a very little bit), but it took six hours to film two very simple scenes when I was on the set. It does sound like Adam wasn't performing as much as the "advertisement" perhaps made it sound like he would, but I guess they had to fill the theater somehow.
The whole thing sort of seems like a joke at the expense of the boy band phenomenon, though. I mean, everyone knows they weren't really good.
I remember looking at my watch and realizing it was 1:30 in the afternoon, shocked that I'd been there for three hours already. I thought the time went by pretty quickly, untilt he last few hours, which got tiring especially because it just got like, unbearably hot in the theater.

Oh, yeah, definitely. Maybe not objectively good or good to most of the world, but catchy and fun enough for teenage girls (or college-aged girls playing teenage girls ) to get into it.
I have one final paper to write and it's just not getting done.

I'm glad to hear that you guys who went had fun! It sounds like a really long process, but those things usually are, and that'll make it doubly interesting to see the finished product.
Heh, weren't all boy band songs pretty bad? I say that as someone who was totally in love with *NYSNC, too.
You have to write a final paper, but you're home already? That would totally weird me out.

I'm happy that everyone had a fun time and got a glimse of what the movie will be like. Heh, it sounds funny. Do the songs sound really pop-ish? Backstreet Boys/NSYNC like ..or more..let's say, Adam/rock style?

In other news, Natasha Lyonne (who is in Goyband - did anyone see her on the set?) recently turned herself in for a number of old charges including threatening to sexually molest her neighbor's dog.
I'm sorry. It's funny. But... props to her for cleaning up her life. (I felt bad for laughing, okay?)

I didn't, but I was just surfing the Goyband IMDB page. I didn't realize until now that the actress named Zoe who was there on Sunday was Zoe Lister-Jones, who was in The Little Dog Laughed when it was off-Broadway. She's (obviously) not in the Broadway production. I didn't know this was the conflicting project! She's playing Amy Davidson's character's friend.
This has nothing to do with the movie whatsoever, but today in my english class we watched School of Rock. Apparently my teacher doesn't want to do anything on the days leading up to break(I don't blame her). Anyway, when the opening credits were rolling and they're singing in the bar my friend(who claims to be an Adam fan) says," I didn't know he was in this!!!"
Heee, cute We're watching 'She's the Man' in my English class...which stinks to no end. Anyway, I hope I'm not being intrusive or anything, but did anyone take any pictures/and or have any pic's with Adam from the Goyband shoot? I'd love to see them!
They wouldn't let us take pictures during the shoot (in fact, unless you were sneaky, you had to give up your camera when they took your bags up to be put away), so I don't have any pictures of Adam or the filming, but I did take a picture with him. I didn't have my camera on me, so someone else took it. I can PM it to you when she e-mails it to me, brina, if you want to see.I also have have some video footage of Adam rehearsing the dance. My camera only takes video without sound (I know, it's a dinosaur) and the lighting was pretty bad, so I don't know what you'll be able to see, but I'll upload and post it tonight for you guys to check out if you want. Just be warned that with the circumstances and my bad videotaping skills, the quality is so poor that it's probably useless.
There were also several people on the crew taking pictures throughout the day, so maybe those will turn up somewhere.
Brina- At least "She's The Man" can somehow be related to English. It was based off of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. School of Rock has nothing to do with english to my knowledge.
Towards the end of the day (especially when Adam was onstage while they were setting up) I saw other extras taking pictures of the set, so I don't know if those will turn up online at some point. People were taking pictures when he was rehearsing, too.
I forgot this until now, but in the dance, he definitely shimmies.
