re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Chloe - LOL. By no means am I that mean off-line, I'm just much more rampant with my cynicism and sarcasm. It's probably because when I am like that in real-life, people know it's a joke because I'm a really a nice person, but sarcasm and cynicism don't really translate well on the net.

Hey everyone! I know I kind of "fell off the face of the earth" (as Lexi put it) this summer, but I'm back now re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Welcome back Jessica re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I'm also more sarcastic in person, because like Connie said, sarcasm doesn't really translate well online.

Happy Birthday, Alex!

Count me in with the "more sarcastic in person" camp. I tend to be more comfortable letting that side of me come through when I can be reasonably sure it won't be misinterpreted.

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

And this is backtracking a little, but Western Illinois? That's...somewhat close. Maybe if it's an actual date I can go to it!

Alex, happy birthday - I hope you have a great day!

It's very nice to see you back, Jessica. I hope you can make one of the October shows in NY.

Dancin, I just saw a comment at A-P.com that those Western Illinois tickets are already on sale.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I'm pretty much sarcastic all the time. It's only caused a couple of misunderstandings on this board because most of the people I talk to here already know I'm hardly ever serious.

Happy Birthday Alex.

Yay Jessica. I've missed you.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

Chloe - It's so weird that the tickets went on sale today because from this article, http://www.wiu.edu/newsrelease.sphp?release_id=4600, it seems to imply that "individual tickets [would] be on sale approximately two weeks prior to each performance." Maybe the person writing the article was misinformed or I just interpreted it incorrectly. Thank goodness a fan was able to check this morning and tell me about it.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

The other side of the coin in the huge information explosion on the internet is the equal opportunity for misinformation to spread. It's so easy to put things out there, and people don't seem to be taking the same kind of precautions to make sure the information is correct as they might have in the past, before you could correct it with a couple of keystrokes. (I'm referring to whoever wrote the article you linked, Connie, not you. You're very good about checking things.)

Has anyone else noticed how difficult it is to proofread something you've written in one of these message boxes? I don't know how many times I've gone back to correct a typo. It's the same with material I print out. Only after I've expended the time and paper do I see those little mistakes that mean I ihave to print it out all over again.

That always happens with my history papers, and I have to go back and do last minute edits. I drive myself crazy with edits.

Good luck with classes everyone who's just getting started. It seems like getting back to school is hard this year. Hard to say why...

Happy birthday, Alex!

I'm completely anal about spelling and at least somewhat correct grammar, though I'm guilty of relaxing this obsessiveness on message boards.

I guess it's the English major in me. *g*

I've been going through part ten of the thread because I'm making myself a new desktop collage. It's been so fun to read all the wacky conversations. & all the pictures Amber posted of her food re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part eleven

I start school tomorrow!
