Shoshana Bean's voice is amazing. Elastic - like she could hit absolutely any note. I'm really happy for you that you got a chance to see her.
The guy that sold me my grimmerie is married to the Elphaba stand-by. I discretely cheered when he said Shoshana was in today.
Aw, yay Sarah!
I'm glad you liked it Sarah!
Blah, I think I'm getting sick. This sucks
I'm glad you had such a good time, Sarah!
Don't get sick, Dancin. It really does suck.
Hm. A girl who does pornographic webcams seems to be challenging his warnings about myspace perverts by posting videos of herself on his page.

"Hm. A girl who does pornographic webcams seems to be challenging his warnings about myspace perverts by posting videos of herself on his page."
Say what?
Well, I doubt if she's actually read any of his blogs. She's probably just posting them wherever she can.
That's probably true, but even so...
I wish they'd go back to moderating his comments. Then again, if he's taken over his MySpace from the sh-k-Boom person, that might be too much for him to handle.
Dude, the videos are like, 10 seconds long. Even a 14-year-old boy can't get off that fast.
Ugh! I checked her MySpace and based on her comments, she basically just friends a bunch of bands/singers and posts her videos indiscriminately on all their comments. Including in the comments of the 12-year-old singer Alexa Melo's MySpace.
Has he taken it over completely? It doesn't seem like he'd want to do that. You're right that no one seems to be screening the comments anymore though.
I didn't actually watch the video, just checked out her profile, which is basically an ad for her webcam site. She seems to have friended a lot of musicians' pages at random.
ETA: we seem to be posting in tandem, skittles!

Most likely Adam and Sh-K-Boom are operating the myspace account jointly.
I work for an indy label and although the artists will log in occasionaly to post blogs and read/respond to select fan messages etc., it is up to us at the label (or actually the interns at the label) to make sure all friend requests are accepted quickly and 'thank you for being my friend' banners are posted to comment walls, as well as to ensure that tour dates and music selections are up to date.
However one thing we don't do, and have never done, is monitor comments, as there are simply too many. If something obscene is posted, it is usually a fan who will send us a message concerning it and then we will remove it.
I'd be highly surprised if Adam did indeed take over the page completely as myspace is a vital marketing tool for a label, and I can't see them giving up complete control of it. I instead would assume his record label gave him his log-in info and gave him a brief tutorial on how to post blogs and bulletins in an attempt to make the page a bit more personalized, as we encourage our artists to do the same thing.
I am so sick and I feel gross!!!

Thanks for the info, matjomae (it's great to see you posting). Sh-K-Boom used to monitor his comments, but I think the high volume of them forced them to stop. I always said that I felt bad for the poor sap who had to approve his comments.
Not much else to say here, I guess. I'm still excited for the new album. "The World Cannot Wait" is a better song than I initially thought; I've been listening to it on and off lately (see signature).
On another note, I feel sick and just want this string of unfortunate events that seem to have been happening in my life to end.
The fact that it's such a vital marketing tool just brings me back to the fact that they should spell check his blogs, but whatever.
Anyway, moderating the comments is obviously a huge undertaking for anyone; they probably did it for a time when there were those one or two people posting like 21 consecutive comments each, and then when things quieted, they stopped. I highly doubt he took it over completely, though.
Sigh...how I loathe "parenthetical references"; just curious...has anyone read the book The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath?

I read it in eighth grade and loved it, but I'm not sure how many of the specifics I remember now.

I have, and recently. I loved it.
I read it so long ago I don't remember anything. Is that your parenthetical reference?
Same here, Lexi. 8th grade. My memory's gotten a little fuzzy since then.
Here's another interesting interview publicizing the Post Street concerts. Scroll down the page slightly.
Teaser: Adam Pascal and Idina Menzel were friends in high school on Long Island. Well, not friends exactly, more like friendly. She was dating one of his good friends, and she was a year younger.
So what were the stars of Rent like in high school?
“In all honesty, I was cool and she was a nerd,”
Blog interview
CHloe- A great interview/atricle. Thanks for posting
Did anybody else not realize that Adam's birthday is on Wednesday? The article that you postied, Chloe, talked about the show as if it already happened, which I thought was kinda weird/confusing.
I read the article and thought to myself "36? Didn't he just turn 35?" Then I realized that with lurking included, it has been over a year I've been reading the threads. And because you're not a rent fan or "head" until you post a quote "I can't believe a year went by so fast"
Well, it's a blog preview of an article that I'm assuming will be published at the end of the week. My other favorite quote -
During those tender teenage years, Pascal was a heavy metal fan (”Judas Priest, that was my band!'’) and had his very own band, which went through many names, including Wine and Vision. The band’s final name was Mute.
“I was outvoted three to one on that name,'’ Pascal says. And what was his choice? “Anything but Mute.'’
ETA: Sarah, I know what you mean.

I know I'm chiming in late, but I'm glad you liked Wicked, Sarah! I know you'd been looking forward to seeing it for a while.
Thanks Ash. The guy who played Boq was really sweet when I met him at the stagedoor. He asked if we had enjoyed the performance and I told him that we had and were waiting for a long time to see it. We told him that we had bought our tickets back in January and he was really surprised by it. He said he hoped it lived up to expectations, and it really did. I think I've convinced my parents to take me back, they seem interested in it. I told them they can count is as their "owe me" from the NYC fiasco.
