I meant thoughts that he would find happy. Girls discussing his underwear on a public message board would probably be more creepy than happy. And he would show up to his next concert wearing a burka to avoid future discussions.

Haha, okay, skittles.
"Don't you all go online and start discussing my underwear now, okay, asking what it means and all that!"
He could always go and make Nun!Adam a reality, too.
What it means is that he wants the support of briefs with the coverage of boxers.

hee. you girls are too funny
What's so wrong about discussing the man's underwear. I'd consider it flattering :P
Fortunately he is probably much too occupied today to bother looking here, if he ever has. It'll take him a while just to wade through all those myspace comments.
ETA: another screencap. I really love this video for some reason.

He could be reading. Cybele found time to update her blog today with a link to her Halloween column on lime.com.
Thanks for posting the video for those of us who will never get to see him in person.
Happy birthday, Adam!

Sooo... he might have realized that one of us may have inadvertently seen the top of them. His fault!
I'm not too late my time! Happy Birthday, Adam! Do a concert in Chicago, dammit!

Will do. =)
Love your av mizzairee.
Yes Adam, Chicago is a nice place.
This reminds me of the people on MySpace who are like "Adam, come to location x!!!" If you want him to come somewhere near you that badly, you can't just beg for it in cyberspace and expect him to magically schedule a gig near you. Contact people at colleges or other possible venues and do what you can to make it happen, rather than complaining about how he doesn't just magically KNOW that you want him to play there and therefore do so. He's allowing his fans to have a significant hand in planning this tour; take advantage of it.
Yeah, my Toronto campaign didn't turn out so good when all I did was complain in the Anthony thread :P
Speaking of Anthony... so happy he and Rodney are getting married. That definitely made today much better. I wonder if Adam knows yet.
I'm sure they've told him by now! :)
I'm so, so thrilled for them.
I don't think it will be legally defined as marraige, but some kind of civil union, as in England. Still, much better than before.
I really want something sweet right now. Help!
I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly; even if the decision is not to call it marriage, but rather to call it civil union, it's basically just a semantic difference, but the implications are the same? Obviously there are issues because so much is in a name, but as far as the benefits and everything, the court ruled that that has to be equal, right?
I don't think so, Em. Marriage grants more protections that a "civil union" does. Forgive me for not providing specific examples, but I read that paper at seven in the morning.
Here's the summary I came across, which is one person's interpretation, of course:
Although the court ultimately concluded that there was no fundamental right to same-sex marriage, it did hold that, “under the equal protection guarantee of Article I, Paragraph 1 of the New Jersey Constitution, committed same-sex couples must be afforded on equal terms the same rights and benefits enjoyed by married opposite-sex couples.” The court, however, resisted the temptation to mandate a statutory scheme change that would require the adoption of a marriage law for same-sex couples. Rather, the court has put the burden on the legislature to come up with either a marriage definition or a civil union statutory framework.
Now that I look at it again, that isn't very clear either. I wouldn't have lasted five minutes in law school.
All of the ambiguous language is so irritating. There's too much that's unclear.
to come up with either a marriage definition or a civil union statutory framework.
What's confusing to me is... what would be the difference between the two, you know? It's ok if nobody wants to provide examples, I could probably use to look it up myself, but that's what's confusing me about the whole thing; if the court ruled that they must be afforded the same rights, what would really be the difference other than the title, under the assumption that people are probably going to object to calling it marriage, because of sacred meaning and all that?
people at colleges or other possible venues and do what you can to make it happen
If only it were that easy! JK, I totally get what you are saying about the complaining and begging in cyberspace but seriously I have called and wrote to so many places around here for YEARS and no one ever bites. I do think that I am going to give it another go now though. Wish me luck!
Oops I missed the birthday greetings
Well, taking legitimate action is far more logical and worth your time, even if it doesn't pan out. Obviously it takes work, but it also makes sense.
