Mel, it depends on what school of NYU you're looking at. Also, keep in mind that if you take advanced or honors courses at your high school, those might be weighted more heavily in your GPA, and that colleges will compare the courses you took to what your school offers (so if your school offers 10 AP courses and you only take 2, that's not so good, but if your school only offered 2 and you took both, that's great).
