I often wonder whether or not they realize how crazy they sound. Like they were on meds or something and look back at it later. Years from now, we'll probably be questioning the love of a pot and a kettle.
Well there are many ways to respond to that, many of which are pretty snarky. But that's just me.. Some people are so far off the deepend and they truely have no clue about it. It's sad really.

I'm on IMDb and this girl writes this rant about the rent movie and how she has been a big fan for eight years, but then she talks about "Love Me or Leave Me". Wow, what a big fan. She can't even get the freaking name of the song right. I'm debating whether to respond or just keep my mouth shut.

"Love Me Or Leave Me?" WTF? I mean, I can understand why people sometimes think WYO is called "Living In America," but "love" and "take" don't sound anything alike. *shakes head*
Bravo on your initial comment on her post, though, skittles. And, might I just add, your LJ icon is entrancing.

Now that's a true fan.

Yeah I couldn't keep my mouth shut. I had to reply to that one.
Oh, thanks. I just couldn't let everyone unanimously support that like it was a brilliant idea, when it really just sounds like someone trying too hard to be "deep."
Hee, Em posted that icon a few pages back. I had to steal it
I never look on the Rent IMDB board anymore because it gives me migraines. The Adam and Anthony boards, though, are too bad to resist.

This is really random, but I had a very strange dream last night. I was playing volleyball using apples with the friend I saw RENT with, and for some reason Adam Pascal was in the court next to us, singing 'Another Day,' except he sounded exactly like Anthony Rapp. And when I commented on this to my friend, she said, "Who's Anthony Rapp?" I said that he played Mark in the Original Cast, and she said, "Oh, no, you're confused. That's Mariah Carey."
WTF?
Sorry about the threadjack- Katt, what did you say to her?
Katt- where did you see that?

All I said was: "Wow you are such a huge fan that you can't even get the name of Take Me or Leave Me right. Good job."
Hee. Sarcasm is always the best response
Is it bad that I don't know who Wendy Wassterstein is?
The only exposure I have to IMDB are the lowlights that you guys bring over here. I don't think I could handle actually looking at those boards.

I think I'm going to... not go to chemistry. What a terrible way to start off the semester.
Yeah, that was for sure the most "emo" post that I've ever read. I only wander onto IMDB if I'm very bored. I have a few threads that I try in vain to bump on the Rent board every once in a while, but actual discussion there is next to impossible.
I don't know who she is either Skittles. Then again, I don't know half the people that get mentioned here.
If you guys want "emo," take a look at LJsecret (http://community.livejournal.com/ljsecret) - every other secret is like "OMG! Fall Out Boy saved my life!" or "I cut myself because..." or "I wish I was anorexic" or "OMG! I'm 15 and I've never had a boyfriend. I'm doomed to spend the rest of my life alone and unhappy!" I feel bad, but some of the people have their heads so far up their asses with their pity parties that I can't help but laugh.

Someone on IMDb just commented that they haven't seen Rent but wants to. Then they asked: "Who's that girl in that santa suit and why does she wear it? I've seen the trailer once or twice and I've noticed her. I've also seen her somewhere else in a different advertisement."
I guess that suprises me, because I think it's obvious when Angel takes off the wig in the ad that he is a guy. But I guess some people didn't catch that.
This is an IMDB thread title:
"OMG Anthony Please be Mark on June 3rd 2006 in broadway!!!!"
Oy.

Without even touching the fact that she doesn't know he's not on Broadway anymore, does she really think that he reads those things?
You know, I ventured into that thread, and several people actually suggested that she try to get in contact with him and ask him.
Heehee, if he does that, then it might be possible for Idina to be Elphaba when I see Wicked.
The imdb boards make my head hurt.

And Adam to play the Emcee, because of course they can put that show on Broadway just for me on my birthday.
Ok, attempt #2 of the Dirty Plate. Dun dun dun....
