Yeah, they can be... fooey.
Oh, wow. That is an extreme amount posts, Em. And Mandi, we luff you.
I am the keeper of awesome animated icons, but I don't think those will help me in other threads.
*pokes bubble*
We all need cool names or something.
Emcee, the legendary legend.
Mandi, keeper of the animated icons.
...
*attempts to cheer up thread with seriously lame joke*
I guess it's a good thing I saw a comedy this afternoon, since there's more than enough drama here!
*flails about trying to avoid being pelted with rotten produce*
I'm afraid to even look at the Anthony thread after what you guys have been saying.
What did you see?
Kinda why I'm scared to drive to Philly for the book signing there. I'd love to get my book signed and see the performance, but I don't wanna deal with crazy fangirls. When I mentioned that to a Rent fan friend of mine she was very confused. "Fan girls? For Anthony? Really? I wouldn't think that..." I didn't bother going into details, I left it at, "Trust me." :)
We totally are in our bubble. If we mentioned "the meltdown" everyone else will assume we're talking about BSo, or the Paris Hilton thread or something.
I think because there's nothing really major happening in the theater world to talk about, we kind of have to create something to talk about.
All of the Adam fangirls are on LJ.
*gets up and dances on the table*
*falls off due to horrible coordination and inablility to stand in heels*
There, now you have something to talk about. :)
I'll probably want to poke my eyes out at the book signing. I just keep thinking of the fangirls who were at The Today Show, and amplifying that.
Look at the bright side. At least there won't be Idina fangirls there
I keep thinking back to pre-internet days ... even when the Internet was new, it was nothing like it is now. The fangirl obsession and ability to be completely freaky is definitely here thanks to technology. Before, people could dream and stuff but there wasn't this instant access and communication.
Can you imagine how awful it would have been if the Internet had been around for New Kids on the Block?!? Even some of the other boy bands missed the brunt of it... I shudder to think.
How have the booksignings been advertised for except through broadway websites and the actual store?
It's ok Em. We'll all cling together.
I wanted to hurt someone. I'm not protective, I swear.
There was this girl around the corner from me who tried to get Adam's attention, and when he made his way over, she was squealing "OH MY GOD HERE COMES ADAM IN ALL HIS GLORY I LOVE HIM AHHHHHH!!" The kid next to her and I just looked at each other. She jumped up on the barricades and basically flung herself at him. If he hadn't hugged her, she would've fallen over the fence.
I was kind of embarassed for her and hated her for freaking him out all at the same time.
Em, I saw The Producers. I saw the movie a couple of weeks ago and decided that I might as well get around to seeing the show. It was really amazing to me how even though the material is nearly identical, it works so much better on stage than it did on screen. It was also interesting how the second act seemed quite a bit stronger than the first, whereas with most shows I've seen it's the other way around.
JLS, don't joke about falling off a table! I told you guys about what happened to my dad a couple of months ago, right?
AHHHH!!!!!!!! My mom is driving me crazy. This is the conversation we just had (if you don't want to hear my complaining then skip my message):
My mom: I really think we need to make some rules for you and the computer
me: like what?
like we'll limit your time and you won't be allowed to post messages
why not?
well what do you post?
i post stuff about adam with other people who like him too
well why cant you find real people in school to talk to them about that stuff
uh because no one in school has heard of adam pascal
well i think it's silly for you to post messages
*rolls eyes*
I can't live without the Adam thread!
double post

I don't think I've ever experienced a fangirl in person. Not that I'm not one, but I hide it well.
You're lucky.
I wanted to be like "LEAVE HIM ALONE!" but I just shook my head.
Can you imagine how awful it would have been if the Internet had been around for New Kids on the Block?!? Even some of the other boy bands missed the brunt of it... I shudder to think.

Shudder away
BG, yup. You've definitely told the story before.
I always get embarrassed for people. I'm like 'How can you be like that? How come the people you're with still pretend they know you?'
It would have been so much better if Adam let her fall.
BG, I somehow found the Hanson secrets page the other day. I didn't even realize they were still making music and had fans anymore.
Aww, we don't want them literally hurt... do we?
I would've laughed so hard, I probably would've fallen over myself. She was special. I'm glad I'm too quiet to act like a freak.
