And if you think about it ... the money WOULD be going to charity, so it wouldn't EXACTLY be lying :)

Yeah, and definitely not the Anthony thread.

Yes, I'm a poor student in Toronto, dying to see a show on Broadway. What better experience then the Rent reunion. Send me your pity in the form of an expensive show ticket.

You'd only have to convince 10 people to give you a hundred bucks for a regular price ticket. :)

Damn, I knew I should have spent less time in the cybercafe and more time in the casino when I was on vacation!
"There was this one time an alarm went off - it was in the middle of '24.' That's just wrong. Everyone knows everyone was watching '24' at that time."
--NYU student quoted in the Washington Square News about students ignoring the frequent fire alarms in dorms

Honestly, I think there are bigger RENT fans out there, who probably deserve to see it more than I do.

Me too Mandi, I just discovered Rent in August, but still, I want to go *whines*

These days, it does take a little of the pain away knowing we can see it later...but it's just not the same excitement as being there in the theater. Rent seems to have more Internet fans than anything other than Wicked, based on my video.google and youtube searches...this hopefully will mean good things afterwards!

As long as they don't start up another biggest Renthead contest.

I just went into the BWW Idol thread to find out when voting is (cause I'm not gonna be here when they release the songs tonight) and Tiff's avatar scared me. It's Michael Jackson extremely surgically enhanced. Ew.
I'm looking forward to hearing the guy who sang Glory sing Your Eyes!

Why must I live in Texas? Hmph...
I don't care if the movie did just come out...they must record this professionally and release it.
Better yet...have them do a few performances all around the USA so we can all see it (or at least travel to someplace a little closer to see it). A nice dream :)

Biggest Renthead. Ugh, it was god-awful. Thank god they're doing a normal lotto instead.

I missed the biggest renthead thing, I don't remember. Shows need to travel more to Toronto. *goes to build more theatres*

The Rent Blog did it over the summer. They were giving away tickets to the premiere. Most of the videos were "OHEMGEEE EYE-DINA!! WICKED!!11!...rent...!!!!11"

I just had a realization.
Raul -- Ohio
Julia -- on tour
Adam -- MIA and then Boston
Anthony -- anywhere you can possibly think of

How come I didn't know about that thread?! I'll resist the urge to talk about what I thought about that contest (and the contestants, at least the ones I saw)...

I didn't even bother entering. I was like, well, I'm not going to stand there and squeal their names and I don't have any powerful or moving story ... I just connected with it, plain and simple, and was so thrilled to have it move to another medium and see it with those people in that way.
Boring and non contest winning. At least the people who won really enjoyed it and wrote nice things for the blog afterwards. And we got to see Wax Lion enjoying him/her self :)

I obviously wouldn't have done well with that, seeing as how I didn't even know it was going on.
I'm going to *hopefully* see Julia if she is on that night. I just got my ticket in the mail.
