I guess it couldn't hurt to try it. If it works good for you Mandi, it's worth a try.

Hmmm...grade papers or enjoy the internet?
I say all the kids get A's. Grading papers sucks.

Yeah, mine said it'd take 20 hours too...but its sped up (slowly but surely). Just in 30 minutes, that's been cut in half. This is a test of my non-existent patience...I know it.

It doesn't suck as much as DOING them.

This is why I decided not to be a teacher. The brats would definitely lose marks.

Imagine having to read the same thing over and over though Em.
I say just give them all 87's. They'll live.

Em, thanks so much! I'm more than willing to send you whatever you paid and more.
Mel, I wouldn't count on getting anything from Kyle any time soon. I emailed him and sent him a message through MySpace (I don't use MySpace, but signed up for an account so I could contact him). He didn't reply to either of them and I know he read the MySpace message. Perhaps he's no longer interested in trading, although I think he should take down his webpage if he is.

Since I only see the kids once a week, I just make them work in teams or pairs and no boring research papers, they have to pick a fun way to show what they learned. Otherwise I'd poke my eyes out from boredom. The 5th graders made videos like they were on the news or storm stories cause we did a research project about tornadoes. That is what I'm watching now while I type. :)

Fantab, yeah. I'm really torn at this point, but it's definitely an option.

YSI absolutely hates me. It always times out when I'm in the middle of uploading something, and often when I'm in the middle of downloading something. However, it's usually faster than the other download services and can hold bigger files (mainly because everything gets deleted from their servers after 7 days or 25 downloads, whatever comes first.
"There was this one time an alarm went off - it was in the middle of '24.' That's just wrong. Everyone knows everyone was watching '24' at that time."
--NYU student quoted in the Washington Square News about students ignoring the frequent fire alarms in dorms

But they're cute. And they're fun to have conversations with.
