I love the Norbert quote...
"Adam, you can light MY candle"
"My name isn't Adam!"

I know the quotes you're talking about - the ten biggest reasons to leave the cast of Rent, or something like that, and I'm positive that Rentheads made those up. They're funny though.

Lol, back in the day they really did look alike *is a closet Norby fan*

I didn't know about the Nobert one, but the one about Idina trying to milk herself was real as well. Maybe it's a combination of real and made-up quotes?

Nice pants.
Shari Lewis: Did you ever wish upon a star?
Lamb Chop: I once asked Mr. Rogers for his autograph.

The Norbert quote is real? Are you sure? I remember reading these a while back on some site that pretty much stated that they were all made up, but they could have been wrong of course. If they're real, they're all the more funny, and Adam's would be so typical.

I think the Nobert quote is real but who knows really.

I thought they were all fake, but written by someone with a good idea of the cast members' personalities.

When I saw Rent on Friday, I thought of that quote as soon as I saw Will in the pants.

I don't really care if they were real or not, they were all very funny.

Everyone must send me good lotto vibes Friday. It's my only chance and I. need. to win.

I'm still trying to find a picture of Tony, and came up with this Rent site with random Rent facts.
About Life Support
--The support group depicted in Rent
is based on Friends in Deed, a SoHo
based support group
--During a FID meeting Jonathan
attended, a member asked "Will
I lose my dignity?", inspiring
"Will I?"
--Gordon,Ali,and Pam were all real
AIDS positive friends of Jon, who
appeared by name in the show.
"This is a show about my friends,so
you are all playing my friends"
---Jonathan Larson
I didn't know that. You learn something new every day I guess.

*sends Fantab good vibes*
I was actually thinking of maybe trying the lotto on Friday because I'd really like to see Will again, but the combination of uncertainty and Midtown isn't exactly my cup of tea.

I don't know, my friend who loves Norby like I love Raul told me it was true though... Oh well, it's funny, that's what matters.

I'm so afraid to ask this question, but can someone explain to me exactly how lotto tickets work? I should really attempt to look it up, but y'know, I'm lazy.
We've always purchased tickets via Ticketmaster or the TKTS booths.

Katt, do you have the Rent book? Most of that info is in there.
Cy O'Neal - the director of Friends In Deed, told the story about Jonathan attending a meeting and hearing someone ask "Will I lose my dignity?" at the Symphony Space benefit. I think that story gave me chills.

Basically, the way lotto works is that around 2 hours before showtime, you can put your name in the drawing and if it's picked, you can buy up to 2 front-row tickets for about 20 dollars each (specifics vary from show to show, but the 2-ticket max is almost always there).
If I'm seeing a show with my mom, it's usually Ticketmaster and full price, but if I'm going by myself I often go for TDF or the TKTS booth. I *heart* the TKTS booth by the South Street Seaport.

No. I was going to buy it um, three years ago I think, but it was like 50 dollars and I already spend way too much money on books, so I decided to wait and get it...and then someone bought it. And I'm going to tell my Barnes and Noble to order it but I keep forgetting.
