Oh by the way, I think it was Giles singing Your Eyes. This is the list of people that were at the reunion.
Yassmin Alers, Gilles Chiasson, Taye Diggs, Shelley Dickinson, Wilson Jermaine Heredia, Rodney Hicks, Kristen Lee Kelly, Jesse L. Martin, Idina Menzel, Aiko Nakasone, Timothy Britten Parker, Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp, Gwen Stewart, Byron Utley, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Fredi Walker-Browne.
So obviously it couldn't have been Tony.
And...the site that I got that info from has a NYTW video...that I need to get somehow.

I was looking for that list we've been talking about, and came across this link, a diary entry written by someone seeing Rent for the first time in '97 with the original cast. It's one of the things that made me feel so much regret abouut missing the show back then.

Even though I live in the city, I pretty much avoid Midtown like the plague unless I know I'm seeing a show, so to go not knowing whether I would be able to get tickets just doesn't really work for me. My idea of being spontaneous is going to the Seaport TKTS booth on Saturday and getting a ticket for a Sunday matinee - even though I may not be guaranteed a specific show, at least I'm guaranteed to get some show.
