I was just going to say that Em. Now you've got it in my head.
It's in my head too.
I LOVE Martina McBride... anything that she sang would probably be good. Trisha Yearwood also has some really great songs.
Oh, "Cry" by Faith Hill is another good one.
Heh, I was going to ask if Breathe was the one you were thinking of. That's my favorite of hers. I also like Shania's From This Moment On.
I *really* want some guy to sing Brad Paisley's Alcohol.
There's a Shania song I'm thinking of right now but I can't remember the title. *thinks super hard*

::Waves:: I just popped in to say hey and catch up with the thread. But I have to go now because I have to get ready to go somewhere. Today has kind of been...blah.
But I'll tell yall about it when I get back =]

I don't know if I can pull off Breathe, but it's such a good song! Definitely shows off a person's range!
Hi and bye, Katt!
Oooh, that's a great song, but I get the feeling that if Allie picks that, she might not be the only one singing the song she picks.
Allie, I cant stand her either.
I liked LeeAnn Rime's version better than Trisha Yearwood's- and that's the one that actually made it into the movie.

Really? I'm a HUGE Trisha Yearwood fan (when I was little, I used to sing "She's in Love With the Boy" constantly, and bop my head with the dalmations in the video!)... I definitely prefer her version to Leann's. Gorgeous song, though!
Random trivia: LeAnn's version spent 69 weeks on the Hot 100, setting the all-time record.

I saw Leann perform it on... some show last year (I think!). Her "How do I, how do I" has sort of slurred itself into "Howewah howewah". Not good at all!
ETA: Not to mention, Leann: It's "How do I LIVE", not "How do I LEAVE".

"She's In Love with the Boy" is one of my favorite songs. Along with pretty much anything Garth Brooks ever sang... so I obviously love them as a couple.
I like her voice, but sometimes her belt makes her words slur. It's a weird phenomenon.

I'd much rather sing a male artist's song. I could think of tons... if I could hit the notes!
But Allie, you have to go and be a woman for girls like me who dream of being able sing girl notes! :)
Would you want a happy country song or a ballad?

I don't know. Someone Else's Story and I Don't Know How... were both sort of slow-ish, so a more upbeat one would probably be a good idea, don't you think?
You must show versatile Allie!
At the same time, a lot of upbeat country songs tend to have more of a country-ish twang to them, so you don't want to force that and sound gimmicky.
I know! Red Neck Yacht Club! That won't alienate non-country fans
