"heh. They announced a date for Broadway Bares. Every year, I hope..."
*pokes certain leading men* It's for charity!
I'm back. Presentations and classes are over for the week. We have dons too Allie. I lived in a co-ed rez, even the bathrooms were co-ed, which was ... interesting.
If it were for charity that'd be a different story.
*pokes them anyway because it's fun*
The problem is I need to have a school to go by the fall, so I don't have time to visit then audition, I have to do it all at once, but my mom hates the idea because that means I have to apply before I have seen the school.
Em I am actually looking at your school, I like how it does its programs but can't decide if I could handle the all girls part...
I think I need to crawl up in bed. But I caaan't.
You really don't notice it, caitie. Trust me. BUT, you should know that the theatre department here is... not very musically inclined.
it's a liberal arts school-- so does that mean you don't go if you wana be like lets say a doctor or a lawyer (not that i wanna be that lol jw)
Well, you can, but it's certainly not known for its math and science. But people certainly go here and then go on to med school and whatnot.
My plan is to go back to bed. I just have to figure out my schedule for tomorrow so my mom knows what time to pick me up.
Actually, liberal arts schools are where you go for pre-med or pre-law, I think (says the slightly oblivious business major).
oh haha I didn't know what liberal arts meant..I thought it was for the arts LOL.
Ah, sorry Em, the first part of my post didn't show up at first. Broadway Bares is for charity, not the stupid eBay stuff. And I'd much rather have certain leading men gyrating practically naked onstage than a paying that much just to have a bracelet that Adam touched at one point.
so anyone going planning on going to see Anthony Rapp on the Tony Danza Show next Monday?
Aww, I would totally go if I didn't have an 8 AM class . For those of you in the area, it's worth a shot to go to the studio that morning and see if they'll let you in - my mom and I had tickets to a taping there last week and one of the people checking everyone in said that they're usually looking for extra people to fill up the audience beyond what they give out in advance tickets.

Okay I'm back! Uggh, early, some girl came up to me to go to the AP thing with me, and I was still on BWW. I was trying to write something and she just stood there. I said..."You can go ahead, I'll catch up." She said, "Oh no I'll wait."
Some people are really annoying.
Anyway, our writing prompt was this quote by Martin Luther King:
"The true measure of man is not how he behaves in moments of comfort convinence, but how he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
And then we had to write for 40 minutes defending or disagreeing with it. I got only to the top of my fourth page, but some people only wrote one page, so hopefully I did okay.
Wow, that's a lot of writing for 40 minutes, Katt! I hate timed essays because I always feel like I won't be able to write enough in the allotted time.
I have to leave for my 2 PM class now, and I'm really excited because my 3:30 class got cancelled and I can go have a nice late lunch after class

I felt like I should have written more, but I just kind of wrote slowly and thought about it until I saw that there was only 15 minutes left.
Anthony's going to be on Tony Danza?
F*CK, nevermind. I have a 9 AM class on Mondays. I would totally have gone.
Katt, I did my presentation today on Martin Luther King, Jr.
Ok, I had a two hour nap, and I probably slept for 40 minutes of it, as soon as my contacts get comfortable again I'll be awake.
Okay, I know this has been brought up a billion times, but is there anyone who wants to try to send me the 5th anniversary thing...a couple people tried before and it didn't work. Maybe someone could send it to me through e-mail instead of aol. If anyone wants to, pm me please!
I'm afraid to get yelled at-- but uhm, if someone sends it to her, could you also send it to my e-mail? Thanks!
Skittles, I totally missed your post about Broadway Bares.
It makes me sad that it's mostly chrous people, but they get bigger names every so often. Somehow I don't see Adam as the stripping type, but considering the surroundings, I can see Raul doing it. Maybe. I remember one year Christopher Sieber did something with his partner. Amaaaazing.
OK first if you want something, look back at who has it and please PM them about it!
And Em, I wouldn't get into a good theater department anyway, I could do a music/theater major + poli sci. If I could get in. I am thinking about it, I may come visit sometime (also looking at it means I get to go to the city, and have a reason!)
Oh, I saw a segment of the Broadway Bares thing Christopher Sieber did with his partner- it was Batman and Robin. Up until then, I only knew him as the dad from Two of a Kind, so I was more than a little freaked out by it.
But in recent years, they've had a lot of people that don't necessarily strip, but perform songs. Like Shoshana Bean did this past year and Jai Rodriguez did the year before. I'm sure Adam could at least sing the theme song for the evening!
Raul stripping, on the other hand...
