I can't stand the smell. I've never smoked pot (although I'm sure that'll change once I hit college, heh), but the smell is horrible. I sprayed my pothead friend down with Febreeze before he could get into my car!

BG, I feel your pain - the smell gives me a really bad headache. My next door neighbors AND the people right across the hall from me smoke often, thankfully usually not during the week. The smell makes its way through the walls and under the doors.
Hi, Nia. Is your night going any better than earlier?

Hi, nia.
siamese, I'm literally LOL at you spraying your friend with Febreeze!
As bad as it is that the guys next door smoke a lot, last year was far worse. My roommate and one of the other girls in our suite smoked in the common room with their friends any time they didn't have an early class the next day, then ate my food when they got the munchies. It got to the point where I had to lock my Pop-Tarts in my desk drawer if I wanted to make sure I could have breakfast the next day.

I love the allergy-reducing Febreeze the most, because it actually works. If it only smelled more like the regular Febreeze; it's a pain waiting to the scent to disapate.

Fantab- not really, but thanks for asking. How are you?
I despise every and all kinds of druggies. Pot smokers are the most annoying beings I have ever tried to hold a conversation with.

What's going on tomorrow, Fantab?
Last year at state drama conference, I walked into my room and was smacked with the smell of cigarette smoke. It was a non-smoking room so I got mad at my roommate and she was like "I'm not smoking. The room just smells like this." It was ridiculously obvious that she was. A friend of mine came with me and she nearly asphyxiated from the stench- it makes her throat close up.

Potheads are generally annoying, but I swear that there's a breed of potheads who are some of the most intelligent people out there. My friend is a major stoner, but he got a near-perfect SAT score without studying and is just a general genius in every aspect of life. It's amazing.

Just a long day of work and class from about 10-5:30 with no lunch break.
I know, Em. I'm trying to pretend it doesn't exist.

I know those, Siamese. Watch 'em for a few more years. Their neurological capabilities rapidly decline once the drug really sets in. It's very sad to see a fifteen year old who can't put a setence together anymore, though he used to get straight As.
Must go, back later.

Once, when my family was going to NYC, we stayed at this hotel in Newark for the night (first mistake) and even though my dad had made a reservation for a non-smoking room, they only had a smoking room left.
I have a severe lung sensitivity to cigarette smoke, and my dad, sister and I all have asthma. The next morning, we went into the city and we were all miserably sick.

I've got to sell three books between 10 and 10:30, but thankfully all of the locations are near to each other. Then I have to go figure stuff out with my adviser, and no doubt have another over-the-phone fight with my mom after. I have to cram in some work before class at one, scarf down lunch, grab a book, and read it before the rest of my classes.

Threadjack: Does anyone know if this Breakfast with the Arts show on Sunday is just a repeat of the late November show or will there be a new Rent-related segment?

I have bad reactions to all kinds of smoke. I get headaches and feel like my nose is gonna bleed. I once stayed in a hotel where they gave us feather pillows, so my asthma was acting bad that night. And now that I'm sick, my asthma is kicking in. I'm the odd one out in my family, the only one with allergies and asthma.

i think its a new one .. i dont remember the other things listed being in the last show.
i can stand people who smoke pot, but not cigarettes..i've tried pot once, but i despise cigarettes. I've never smoked one, and I will never ever. No offense to anybody to smokes cigarettes, just a personal preference.

I've thrown up on more than one occasion from the overwhelming pot stench coming from next door, and once when I was younger I had a bad nosebleed at a restaurant because we were seated in the smoking section.
Oy, poor Fantabulous and Em. Strangely enough, this is the first semester where Thursday isn't a hell day for me - I usually wind up having 4 classes in a row on Thursdays, but not this time.
That's cool that they're re-airing that episode of Breakfast With The Arts. I might even wake up early on a Sunday to see that on TV.

Cigarette smoke drives me mad. I see so many kids lighting up the moment they get in their cars after school. It's so sad.
Haha, I love how we're piling on the hate for smoking in a love thread of someone who openly admitted to smoking pot and likely smokes cigarettes.
