Ok catching up. I used to have to sit on cousins when I was driving in our old car, but now we've got a seat that I can move up, and I always forget to put it back and my parents try to squeeze in to push it back.
I suck at all sports, I get bored and not really interested so I don't do good. I was a cheerleader in high school though.
I've broken my leg. Sprained my ankles (and continued to do cheerleading) and cracked bones in both middle fingers.
I had stitches once when I got random teeth pulled and I had one growing sideways in the roof of my mouth. No one told me I had stitches so when I woke up, I was still drugged and started to pull them out. Not one of my smartest decisions. Ok, I think I'm caught up.

We've been playing floor hockey. Boys against girls. We've won every time. The boys get pissed.

Fantabulous, I hear ya on the NYC public schools and their gym programs. Strange thing was, I went to what was basically a specialized high school for nerds, and our gym program was absolutely INSANE.

I remember when we were required to do the mile run. I used to try, at least -- like in elementary and middle school I'd put in everything I had and try really hard to do well. Then in high school I was just like "f*ck this," and walked the entire thing in protest.

You went to Townsend Harris, right? My friend went there freshmen year and then transferred to my school and she's a dancer, so she tried to get out of the gym program at TH. I've heard the horror stories. Do you know Craig Weiss?

For the mile, I never try. Except for fitness testing when you just have to get like 8 minutes, then I just get that

I got exempt from my high school running because I had a lot of issues with my asthma and didn't realize it was anxiety triggered.

Yep, I did go to THHS, Fantabulous. That name isn't ringing a bell, though.

I hate it when you're waiting for something in the mail and it takes forever to come. Every day you're so excited to check your mail, and it's so disappointing if it isn't there yet.
I liked gym class, but I was never good at anything except softball.
Edit: I can't type today.

I get overheated when I dance alllll the time. I swear I have minute asthma or something, but my doctor doesn't agree.

My entire class of girls... by senior year, we sure as hell weren't running in gym glass. We opted for wiffle ball, which requires little to no effort (especially if you strike out
).
I had to get two stiches in the webbing of my left had between my ring and middle fingers. I went sledriding at midnight my freshmen year of college. And when I couldn't see and wanted to stop, I grabbed a branch and sliced the webbing. That was loads of fun... I had to go to the hospital for stiches. Lots of blood and it wouldn't stop bleeding... eww. Doesn't that sound fun?

"I don't miss the guys who yell at you when you miss because GOD FORBID they lose a game in GYM CLASS."
LOL! So true. I never understood that! I would miss something or mess up and they would all be pissed and I'd be like "Get over it! It is just a stupid game!" I really dislike gym teachers. I had to use crutches for 2 weeks when my foot was run over by a car, and the DAY AFTER I got off the cruches they wanted me to run laps around the gym for this PE testing stuff. Then they gave me an F for the day because I didn't have a doctor's note (when for 2 weeks they had SEEN me with a cast), and I "refused" (couldn't) run! Arrg- gym!

SG, your story sounds like an experience I had with gym as well. I broke my arm during a Tae Kwon Do class and obviously could not play baseball (the one sport that I'm actually decent at). I received a B for the quarter because I couldn't obtain the "participation points." Ooookay.

My sister failed a semester of gym because she was in a cast for 2 months. She had to retake it her sophomore year.

I lost participation marks in gym when we were doing basketball we were practicing passing and it slammed into my middle finger wrong and chipped the bone and tore the ligament, and I had to spend a couple weeks with it taped to another finger. It was also on my strong hand. But I was out for basketball and volleyball.
