Bake something, Amber.
I'm making muffins tonight, yum.

This is so cute! She seems wonderful, and it makes me hate all of the people who say mean things about her even more.
Adam and the kids are beyond adorable.

I did earlier
I made cookies (like in my avatar). I intended to last night, but I sat down...and pretty much crashed right there.
I'm trying to create something fantastic for dinner at the moment...

Does Martha always seem this disinterested in her guests?

"Very interesting maple sugar cookies."
Wow. Martha is annoying.
The kid stuff is so helpful-- I've really had to become more sensitive about stuff that I take for my little one's school class. Valentines Day shopping was ridiculous. No chocolate (milk allergies), no tree nuts, no peanuts, etc. Gummies seemed to be okay...
Good for her- great stuff. And I appreciate that Cybele keeps talking. It means that Martha isn't.

Martha's a bitch. Graargh.
Cybele was great. Very talkative, very cute. The poor children looked as terrified as everyone said they looked, although Lennon was pretty smiley.

Maple is one of my FAVOURITE flavours ever. I can't say I've ever used maple sugar, though. Sounds delicious, though. Mmmm, my aunt gave me some maple sugar candies dipped in dark chocolate once. *drools*

Yeah, Martha is totally not the best interviewer. Like, she almost has this, "I can do it better" attitude. Cybele was very cute, though.

Allie, the city I'm in right now has a Quaker Oats factory, and when they make their maple nut cereal, the whole city smells like maple syrup.

I find that Martha stumbles over her words a lot. And I'm pretty sure she doesn't actually listen to what her guests are saying. Yesterday, Drew Lachey was on, and she asked if his daughter knew her alphabet yet. He was like, "Uh, she's three months old." And he had JUST said her age before she asked.

Yeah, she asked Barry Watson is he was getting married, after she introduced Tracy as his fiancee.

Though it has nothing to do with allergies, another thing Cybele has done in her cookbook is eliminate refined cane sugar. She uses honey and maple instead. She feels it's healthier.

Mmmm, Sarah, that sounds heavenly. Yum, maple. I used to stir maple syrup into my milk.
Just like chocolate syrup, but better!
I wonder if I can substituute maple syrup for sugar in regular recipes. I'll have to try that.

Allie, be careful with the substitutions-- I find I have to cut back on other liquids in the recipie if I'm using a liquid type of sweetener.
Another option is turbinado sugar-- or "sugar in the raw". I don't think any kind of sugar is really "good" for you, but some is less bad, more natural. Also, I think honey, maple syrup and turbinado sugar doesn't cause quite the spike in blood sugar that refined sugar does, so the "highs" and "crashes" aren't as bad.

Maybe I'll just try to find some easy maple recipes online! Baking and math are not my strong suits!

...I had a tunafish sandwich for dinner.
I *can* cook, but even when I have the opportunity at home, I'm just too lazy to want to bother.
I agree with Ash, seeing how completely lovely Cybele is only makes me hate those stupid LJ/IMDB people even more. I already bored Ash with my professional opinion about Montey's behavior
, so I'll just say that they were completely adorable and seeing them with Adam (sadly) was the highlight of my day.

Aw, skittles, what's your professional opinion on his behavior?
I agree about the LJ people -- I responded to one of them.
I had a fish sandwich from Wendy's as my dinner. So healthy, I know.

I'm eating a waffle with maple syrup. I had to after all that maple talk.
What bothered me the most was the idea that she could somehow not be pretty or petite enough for him. She's beautiful and very slender - what are they talking about?

*phew* I made it through school without becoming Swiss cheese!
They had us all enter the building through one entrance, which leads into the main gym. We all lined up our backpacks in a row and stood a few feet behind while a dog sniffed them all. When everyone was cleared, we were free to go. Overall, it was a pretty normal day, except for the police presence in the halls. But our idiot principal made an announcement 8th period that the "shoot" scheduled for today was postponed to Tuesday, but he meant a movie shoot in the TV studio after school. Idiot.
One thing that was interesting was that our project that we had to present was about Nazi propaganda, and two girls in our group made a collage of Nazi recruitment posters in the shape of a swastika, which began this whole shooting threat ordeal when one was spraypainted on a door to the building a couple of weeks ago. She was so afraid that the police would question her, but she explained that it was for a project and it was okay.
