I said the Red Sox are more champs than the Yankees, not that the Yankees were underdogs. Don't put words in my mouth. But you don't know the true meaning of underdog if you consider the 2006 Red Sox underdogs. *Real* underdogs would be the Brewers.
Whatever, this is stupid. It's all in fun. When I was in elementary school I was the sole Knick fan in a class full of Bulls' fans, and the Bulls *always* killed the Knicks and every single year I got laughed at. It's part of the game. In a weird way, you grow accustomed to the taunting of liking a losing team--part of a community and fan dynamics, there's books on these kinds of relationships.
Besides, if you read closely I even wrote "not so seriously" about the class with a wink. Why the wink? Because I know, and Sox fans know I know, that they stood for what they thought was Roger Clemens' last game ever, and they had reason to dislike him. There's a mutual respect under the "teasing" and that's why it's enjoyable for everyone involved (unless beer is being poored on you like Sox fans have done to Yankee fans in Fenway...that's not enjoyable).
