when I was watching the show, I kept thinking of the "Civilian" line 'my two babies ain't your soldiers'
The way the boys clinged to Adam, you could just tell how protective he is over them. Looking at those little boys, I could see how awful it must be for him (or any parent) to look at their child and think that in 18 years or so they could be fighting in a war.
It was sweet to see how close they all are.
GAAH! I had been waiting for Cybele on Martha for what seemed like forever, and it was so great.
I did NOT know Adam would be sitting in the audience with the two most adorable boys created!!! After I fulfilled my mission of meeting Adam and was ok for a while, all I wanted so desperately was to just..see the amazingness..with his two boys in his lap, because ADAMPASCAL being affectionate to his own kids has to be the most heartmelting thing, aside from when he sings.
aand there he was! AAHH Lennon looks just like him, and Monte was adorable.
Yeah, Martha annoyed me even more after Barry's segment, when she said "pascal" and didn't even like introduce adam as his great amazingness.
I want those cookies
Well, it wasn't really about Adam....

Good morning everyone.
I'm trying to pretend like I'm not depressed about not being able to go to the Lotto on Monday, but I am. That's amazing that you're going, wickedrentq, have a blast, tell us EVERYTHING.
I still haven't seen Martha. I hope someone uploads it. Lately the only way I get to see ANYTHING is through Youtube.
I've suddenly realized how much I have to do today.
Last night I had a dream where I was going to this concert/dance thing with some friends. We sat down in these seats and then Adam came over to take our drink orders. I was freaking out because he was standing right over me and talking to me. Then I kept telling one of my friends "omg I met Adam" and she didnt care and it was strange. And Marissa Jaret Winokur was there at some point too and we all said hi to her.
For anyone looking for the Martha show from yesterday...

I think it would be unfair to Cybele if he was introduced

I agree that it wouldn't be fair, it was Cybele's segment, not Adam's.
But I couldn't help but expect her to say something. Martha is filmed in New York, right? I guess I figured she'd say something about Adam being a musician/actor. She did, afterall, mention the work that Barry Watson's fiancee does.
It was definately a nice surprise to glance up and see Adam sitting there smiling with his sons.
The text on my screen just got huge. My grandparents cat jumped on the laptop and I don't know how she changed it. >.<
I don't have $500. And...there's no real reason to go to NYC and go to the box office. Most likely, they will be all sold out. *sigh*
Don't you think that it would be smart for them to record this? I mean, it's been done before...*shrug*
Maybe it was Adam's request not to be formally introduced. I can see him wanting to keep the spotlight on her.
Something's stopping me from trying to go to the anniversary concert, which I could kind of afford at this point, if not justify. I'm not really a Renthead, and part of me feels that the occasion should be saved for those who are. Those $500 tickets are probably gone now anyway.
If someone manages to do that, they really have guts. Security will probably be pretty tight.
Martha does seem to have scared them. Children probably sense things about people more instinctively, and I've heard she's pretty tough underneath. The show was pre-taped, maybe in a different order or at different times, so I'm not sure that Adam had to sit through the whole thing. It would have been difficult with kids that young.
Alex, Martha got to you. You're calling Barry Watson Brian :P

haha..wow. She really did get to me. :P
I'm sorry, but this has officially become my favorite picture of him. Both he and his kids are so adorable! *pinches all of their cheeks*

awww *hugs*
Adam is adoorable as a Daddy
Chloe, if you call...well, at least the number they provided on the playbill article, not quite sure which that is...anyway they'll tell you if/how many $500 there are left, or you could call the Nederlander box office, and they'll tell you too (quite possibly could be the same number).
If they're available and you wanna go, then go!

Honestly, I'm happy that no one said anything about Adam more than Cybele mentioning that he was her husband. I mean, what was Martha or Cybele really supposed to say? "That's Adam Pascal, you may know him from Rent or Aida..." If they would have done that, I'm sure quite a few people would have clapped for him... which would be nice, but like some others have said, the segment wasn't about Adam and the spotlight should be kept where it belongs.
That screencap is adorable, but my favorite is the one where Adam and Lennon both have matching smiles.
I know the one you mean -
Ok tryouts are in less than 2 hours! My fate will be decided tonight and I am so scared!

I'm sure you will get in dancinqueen! Good luck!
Sweetie, anyone who feels their fate's being decided by something is bound to be scared. It's not your fate, it's just a school activity. Some day you're going to laugh at yourself for getting so worked up over this. Good luck, though. I'm sure you'll give it your best shot, and that's the most important thing.
::sorry to be so heavy on the platitudes today::
