I am so glad you had fun! And the pictures are great! Thanks for sharing!
Oh and Happy Fat Tuesday everyone! Who else is eating a lot? I am also drinking about 5-8 cans of pop since I won't have any the next 40 days.

I just came back from work where half the kids were out sick. All the kids that were there had runny noses and one boy was coughing non stop. Someone even had to wear laytex gloves to touch his stuff. It's hard to explain to a 2 year old that he needs to cover his mouth when he coughs, and then he just goes around touching everything anyway. I'm the only student not sick. Yet.
I reaaallly can't get sick the week before midterms.

I'm up! I'm not really big on writing reviews, but I will tell you what I thought. I think that the way Anthony wrote had a lot to do with how fast I went through it, it kinda felt like it was a conversation I was having with him, and he just had to add a lot of backstory
. I found the book to be entertaining and it was nice to get a more in depth look into Anthony's life, on the other hand, my life has not been changed forever because of reading it. I teared up a little at certain parts, not enough that I was actually crying, but I was very moved by it. See, I told you I'm not good at reviews, I'm just going to end it there.

That was a lovely review, CS.
I read the book for like the 3rd time on the plane yesterday, because I had nothing interesting to do.

I agree that the tone made it go so fast. It was like he was sitting there telling it all to you.
I haven't read it again yet. Over Spring break I probably will, though.

I don't want to go to class, and I'm all out of reading material to keep me awake during boring lectures
"There was this one time an alarm went off - it was in the middle of '24.' That's just wrong. Everyone knows everyone was watching '24' at that time."
--NYU student quoted in the Washington Square News about students ignoring the frequent fire alarms in dorms

My reaction was very similar to yours, CS. One impressive point is that while being incredibly open about his own life, Anthony avoided dishing about his friends and family except when their lives directly affected his or his mother's. Apparently an aunt has taken offence despite his care, which goes to show how tricky writing a memoir is.
Emcee, you say people reacted when Anthony read aloud about Adam - how exactly?

BG, the student paper has started putting those Suduko puzzles in the back pages of each issue. I randomly started doing on one day because I was bored and now I can't make it through some lectures without it.

The usual, Chloe. Fangirlish cheers, screams, squeals and the like. Applause and "woooo!" And then he read the line about the outfit, and the laughter was... abundant.
People asked at the NYC signing how his family was reacting to the book, and he said many of them had not read it yet; his brother and his father only, I think. Apparently he and Adam are ostracized from a section of his family anyway, so in some ways it doesn't particularly matter.

Thanks Emcee. I think your screencap av is the best one yet.
I read about the aunt in some interview with Anthony, but I can't remember where I got the link from now.
Skittles, I too have become a sudoku addict. I can't make it through breakfast without a puzzle to work on. A year ago I don't remember ever noticing them, and now it seems that half the people on the subway are doing one.

I don't really like puzzles. The ones I do enjoy are those elimination ones, I'm good at them. eg. they give you four people, four actions, and four colours of clothing, and you have to figure out who belongs to what.

I personally love crossword puzzles myself! I personally despise just coming out of French class when you're pretty sure you bombed a quiz.

My roommate is obsessed with sudoku.

Sorry about your test, C&L. Maybe you did better than you think.
Sudoku is definitely addicting, and as you may have figured out, I have an addictive personality. It's a purely logical exercise, no math involved. I suppose the appeal is in knowing that, unlike a lot of problems in life, there is a solution.

Thanks, Chloe. We'll see what we'll see. I've been so sick lately that everything is just one big blur. Bleh. I have two papers to hand in tomorrow - once I get out of my last class today, I'm sleeping for a while and then waking up in the wee hours of the morning to finish them up.
And I have an addictive personality, too - give me a new game/puzzle and you won't see me for a few weeks.

*sends good vibes to Color and Light - whose icon, by the way, is brilliant!*
Chloe, that's a great statement on puzzles. I guess they do make life seem more simple - everything fits into its own little spot on the grid, has a specific pattern. I could muse a little more on that, but I pulled an all-nighter yesterday and am tired and should probably take a nap as long as I'm not in class.

I guess that's why things are so quiet right now. Everyone is either sick or working too hard - or both. I could be working too hard at housework, but since I don't have to, I'm not.

I was up all night writing a Spanish paper. Damn procrastination habit. Y mi ensayo es mierda!
Oh, CS, you finally read Without You! That's great!
Guess I'm the only one who hasn't yet...*ducks*
