I know I'm probably in the extreme minority on this one, but I'm more anxious about my 20th birthday than my 21st. I know it's going to hit me hard that I'm no longer a teenager, that a whole chapter of my life is over. Sure, turning 21 will mean that I can legally order a drink if I feel like it, but the end of my teenage years seems like it'll have a much bigger impact than that.
Thanks
I'm pretty sure i wanna change it...
i have to go eat
please pm me if you have any ideas!

Ashley, if Josh was paranoid enough to demand his name be changed, he definitely had issues with it- regardless of how honest it is.
Just out of curiosity, was it Josh who demanded to have his name changed? Perhaps Anthony changed it because he didn't want newer fans prying in his life?
Josh's webpage with various photos of Anthony is still up. If he was absolutely set on severing all ties with Anthony, I'd assume he'd remove it (or maybe he was just afraid of how he was going to be portrayed in Without You -- I don't know).
The summer before my birthday last year was rough, 20 just seemed so different. But it wasn't such a big deal on my actual birthday, 21 isn't really a big deal here either. 19 is the big year.
19 is the big year?
*is scared*
Drinking age in Ontario is 19. You're fine Fantab, you still can't do anything.

I PMed Anthony a few months ago asking if he had to get permission from the people he was talking about in his book, and he said that in most cases, he tried to and some of them asked to have their name changed and he oblidged. Besides, considering how honest he was about everything else, I can't see why he'd preemptively alter that one minor detail and leave the rest intact.
Ahh!
I went out to dinner tonight to a local diner, and Seasons of Love comes on the radio. Then to complete the moment, a 12-year old girl near me starts singing at the top of her lungs and dances in her seat. And she screwed up half the lyrics.
Please tell me that this excruciating moment did not happen. >_<

I was surprised the Josh conversation hadn't come up before now honestly...
I won't lie, I loved turning 20 for the fact that I was no longer a teenager (years that were obscenely overrated). My biggest excitement over turning 21 (as I don't really drink)? No more massive black X's on the hands at concerts.
I'm turning 20 this year. Not too excited over it because I have a final on my birthday. It really stinks. Oh well.
My birthday always falls in the middle of midterms. This is the first year since I started college that I don't have an exam or a paper due the day of my birthday. Or the day after, for that matter.
And my birthday ALWAYS falls during Lent, so whatever I give up, I make an exception for my birthday.

Skittles, are you Catholic? I used to do that years ago. I'm not such a great Catholic anymore. Heh.
My birthday tends to fall on finals, although this year (with senior exemption from finals anyway), it falls on the last day of "real" school.
My birthday was the first day of school twice. Skittles, I was secretly celebrating your birthday for many years, when I celebrated my half birthday .
This year my birthday falls on a Friday, which is nice. It's also the Friday right in between the Thursday and the Monday of the last days of classes of the semester.
I think I made that sound really confusing.
My birthday is usually the day before, after, or right on the day school starts =/ September 5th
My birthday isn't until about a month after school ends, but before college it was always about 2 weeks before the last day of school, which meant that I usually got a longer in-class birthday party in elementary school than most of my classmates since we were pretty much done with the curriculum. In high school, it sucked because my birthday was always the week before Regents and all of my friends were busy studying.

My birthday is always in the summer...sucked when I was little. Good now though!
A note for roommates everywhere: Don't say you don't have time to watch a movie (like...oh...maybe Rent)...but then sit down to watch a bunch of episodes of Grey's Anatomy.
This makes me...not so happy. If you don't want to watch it, stop telling me you want to!

On a totally different note, I can't even imagine watching Rent for at least another month or so. I still love it, but I'm so Rent-ed out.
I'm weird and totally indifferent to my birthday. My family's going out of town to look at colleges for my brother, and it's on a Wednesday, which is like the most mundane day ever. *shrug* I can't complain too much because of what my birthday present it, but I've never been one to make a big deal, either positively or negatively, about my birthday.
It was definitely different in high school when you were surrounded by friends all day long. This year, because my birthday is on a Friday, I have to make sure I don't end up being a bum all day. That would be rather depressing. It'll be weird not having my best friend here...her birthday fell on our winter break, so we got to be together.

I've never been too hung up on my birthday either.
I need a spring/summer job. Suggestions? I'm thinking BestBuy.
The only reason I usually make a big deal about my birthday is the presents (and when I was younger, the party)
Lexi, I would suggest either trying to get a job that's somehow related to what you want to do when you grow up or a job at a store where you can put the employee discount to good use (says the business major whose only job thus far has been at a law firm).
*waves*
Next year, I'll be celebrating my sweet sixteen.. I need a summer job too.
My birthday is 4 days before Christmas, and it's hard to have parties around then. *shrug*
I've been having badly placed birthdays lately. Last year, there was a huge blizzard all throughout my birthday weekend so I had to cancel my birthday party. This year, I was sick during my birthday weekend so I couldn't get together with friends again. I hate celebrating after your birthday, I don't even care anymore at that point lol.
