Just when I was finally starting to get over my cold, there had to be a f**king fire drill last night. Now I'm even worse than I was before. I went to bed wearing the pants I threw on for the fire drill and then wore those same pants to class. I felt like a bum, even though I've worn those pants to class many times before :-/

I was getting over a cold and then stood in the freezing cold for 5 hours at a track meet.

Because I'd rather go sunbathing in Alaska than start another Rent thread on the main board, I'll just post this here. When a movie is released on DVD, the soundtrack usually sees a sales boost, and Rent is no exception:
117 -- RENT - SOUNDTRACK 9,581 130 4,169 262,501
133 -- RENT (2CD) - SOUNDTRACK 8,629 135 3,678 298,878
The numbers represent albums sold from February 20-26, percentage increase over previous week, albums sold from February 13-19, and total sales since album release. I know that as of a few months ago, sales of the 2-disc OBCR were over 1 million and the OBC highlights were over 300,000, but it's very hard to get exact figures for albums that are more than 2 years old.

That's good news.

I was clicking around and I randomly stumbled across a site with pictures from a Rent movie press junket that took place on November 12, 2005 (http://shagpro.com/mrbrown/rent/junket.html). Aside from looking like he bathed in a vat of self-tanner shortly before the pic was taken, Adam looks pretty good:

Morning! I didn't go to sleep until 5:00 this morning.
And hee, he does look unnaturally tan.

Wow, Katt went to bed an hour before I woke up.
I was almost going to chalk Adam's unusually tan look in that pic up to weird lighting, until I saw this pic of Idina from the same event:

The lighting must be weird in both of those pictures.

Yeah, I couldn't sleep last night, and yall all left early! :P
Oh, and I just noticed that Rent did 98 percent last week, which is great. I figured it would do well, my performance looked sold out. If Matt would just LEAVE then I'm sure even more people will come. *Kicks Matt*

Remember that sore throat I mentioned yesterday? I woke up this morning with no voice. I just emailed work to let them know I can't come in. I'm supposed to interview people for my column today too, so this will be fun.

Katt, I think I read somewhere that Matt is leaving in June. I will seriously crack up if his last day ends up being like the week before my birthday or something.
Aww, poor skittles. With everyone in this thread getting sick lately, I think we all need a big bowl of matzo ball soup.

He needs to go, NOW. It's neverending. If he is bored with the role, which he obviously is, then he shouldn't be playing it when there are so many better actors who would kill to play Mark. He just looked bored the whole time, he looked like he was trying not to laugh throughout the song Rent, which was irritating because Tim was taking it seriously. Even my aunt commented that the person playing Mark seemed bored. She liked the Mark she saw better. She last saw it about ten years ago. :P

The sad thing is that when he's on he is REALLY on. But all the other times, he's moreorless crap.

The last time I saw Rent (a little over a month ago), Matt was practically sleepwalking through the Mark/Roger fight in Goodbye Love, which was brought out even more by how intense Will Chase was during that scene.

I also hate the way he says things in La Vie Boheme. In all the ahem, videos that I've seen...he says the song the exact same way, and it bugs.
Tim was great, his voice is very raspy as some of yall have said. It took some getting used to, but it really does fit Roger.
Justin was good as Angel, Ava was alright. Nothing different from when I saw her in 2004. I wish that I had seen Haven.
I wasn't completely sold on Antonique as Mimi. I don't know if anyone else felt that way.
Oh yes, and I can't really remember, even though it was only on Sunday, sadly, but I think Matt looked like he was going to laugh during the Mark/Roger fight in addition to looking like that during Rent.

I can't stand Antonique's Mimi. Flirty in LMC is fine, but giggling and smiling all throughout just doesn't make sense and got to be very annoying.
