I bite my nails. I really need to stop.
I recognize the addiction to being alive.

I've tried everything to stop.

Congrats.
I painted my nails today. I was bored so they're five different colors. Hot pink. Orange/Rust. Purple. Light pink. And dark forest green. It's quite a combination.

I'm cursed with weak fingernails...so its all the more tempting if one chips or breaks to mess with it...

I put this hard, clearish nailpolish on them, without the intention to stop, but they just looked so purty that I didn't want to ruin them. Not to mention they now taste bad and the texture of nail against tooth is not at all a pleasant one.

I won't bite them if they're painted. But once the nail polish starts chipping away, I start biting again.

I'm going to randomly threadjack. I was thinking of something today while listening to Cary sing LMC. I wondered what LMC would sound like "Canadianized" (by the way, I don't pronounce it this way)

That sounds quite... blinding Rogue! Actually, a friend of mind was able to stop biting her nails by getting false nails. I guess it's not the same. How did you stop, Elphie?

I won't bite them if they're painted, but it's when it begins to peel off that the problem arises. I've had acrylics, but I bite again when they come off.

I don't paint my nails, I'm too impatient.

I can't either...it looks like a 3 year old took nail polish and went to town.

Well said Amber. It's the same with me.
I'll bite my nail ocassionally(I can't spell), but right now, they're so perfect, I can't bite them.

It's actually really nice looking. It was surprising, considering the color combination. It's kind of funny to see the random dark green. I'm being funky today.

Congrats, Elphie!
I've never bitten my nails. For as long as I can remember, I've been growing them long and getting them painted at the nail salon every 2 weeks. However, I compulsively twirl my hair when I'm anxious about something, and I have a tendency to pick at pimples without even realizing what I'm doing.

Chloe- I just painted them. It's never worked before, but I guess I've matured. Or something.
Re: the cab driver/aspriring actor discussion that occurred earlier: I actually had a cab driver one time in NYC who was an aspiring actor. He was middle-aged and sang us this somg from an opera and he was good! He'd also been on some tv show. It was crazy.
