Oh man, I'm talking about my love of REVELRY during Lent. How UNCHRISTIAN of me.

And he's going to sing too, at least two songs from Cabaret!
Tsk, tsk, downtowndiva.

Speaking of revelry...
I will never get tired of these.
Oh, and when I went to the Adam Pascal livejournal community to find those icons, I saw this post, which you might like:
"Hey everyone. After watching Rent a million times since it came out on dvd, I suddenly noticed something that I'm sure you'll all appreciate.
You know his weird habit of putting his hand between his legs when he sings?
He does it in One Song Glory, near the end. It's kind of hard to notice because it's dark, but it is there. I went nuts when I saw that, so I thought I'd share. I wouldn't want anyone to miss as big an Adam moment as that.
Unless everyone's noticed that already, in which case, disregard this post.

Speaking of LJ, someone just asked if Roger was HIV+. OY.

I took one of my good friends to see Rent the movie. He has something of a short attention span but I figured Rent could hold it.
About 3/4 through the movie he turns to me and says, "Wait...Roger's got HIV?"
OY indeed.

Well you should pray after looking at those icons.
A lot of those questions seem to be because AZT doesn't signal HIV to them. It just goes to show how out of the spotlight AIDS is nowadays.

I'm sorry, but I found more icons (sheesh, I'm getting addicted to yet another silly online thing) and couldn't resist:

I have a paper to write, yet here I am, admiring Adam and giggling like a fangirl over the sparkles and bounciness. No wonder I don't get any sleep at night, and thus crash in class.

Dude, when I watched that video on Youtube I turned completely red.
My friends just looked at me and were like "Does Adam have a boner?"
I went to Confession that night.
And yeah, no one I saw Rent with knew what AZT was. I was a little surprised.

I know someone who saw the show and didn't realize that any of them had HIV/AIDS.

Haha, downtowndiva84. The pants are just very... form-fitting.
I had to tell all my friends what AZT was as well. I suppose that shows how much AIDS treatments have changed and improved over the years.

Yes, it will be really interesting to see Adam play someone shy and sensitive. Not that I don't think he has that side to him, but it's hard to believe after watching Under Pressure.

Downtowndiva, that's just the magic of the sparkly pants.
Oy, one of the assigned readings for one of my classes is an article entitled, I kid you not, "Building Better Bureacracies." What have I gotten myself into?

Chloe, I believe there was some help in the Under Pressure video, in the form of alcohol.
Under Pressure, what an appropriate song

Extraordinarily appropriate, really. That song is used for some commercial that's been on lately. It's very distracting.

Don't get me started on AIDS treatments/improvements. It's certainly improved for those able to afford it. Sigh.
I volunteer at a hospice in the AIDS ward so I could rant for days.
But on a happier topic....."The Magic of the Sparkly Pants" should so be the name of a movie. Maybe an animated children's musical voiced by Adam? *hurries to begin writing it*

Alcohol?! Never!
I would totally show "The Magic of the Sparkly Pants" and read it to my kids when I start teaching...that'd rule!

The tendency of the sparkly pants to cause decidedly non-G-rated thoughts kinda poses a problem with that idea
Still, not a bad idea. I've been hoping for Disney to go back to making animated movies that don't suck so that Adam can do voiceovers for them.

OMG, a children's book! YES! THAT'S IT!!!
Except I think we'd have to get rid of the "bulge". This isn't "The Little Mermaid", after all.
(i hope someone gets that)
