I just can't get over his reasoning for Goodbye Love. I can *sort of* understand the "it makes it too emotional part blahblahblah, even if I don't agree with it. But what was with the, "I don't want Mark and Roger to start singing to each other for the first time halfway through the movie." That makes absolutely no sense. As we've established, it's a musical.
I love the movie too. But some of the reasons just aren't...good enough. They aren't *real* reasons. It's hard to explain, but I know that you guys get what I'm...getting at.
*sigh* I think it's time to watch the Under Pressure video again...

They sang to each other in "Rent". And sort of in What You Own, which bothers me that Mark didn't hear Roger, but whatever. And You'll See, they both sang to Benny. And La Vie Boheme. Will I. Santa Fe.

Rogue, that is a fantastic idea
<----.
People seeing the show for the first time probably need that guide though.
But I don't really want to talk about Columbus either. I liked how Adam would mention the names of actors playing some of the smaller parts, and his reaction to Out Tonight, which I'm sure has already been mentioned numerous times. His feelings are so obvious.
Pretty, Em.
I agree Rogue.
Adam's old man voice keeps popping up in my head..hahahaa
I love your new avatar Em
I love that Adam had to read his lines off of the table.

Yeah, see he's not even correct.
But, yes, lets talk about Adam. I love his comments on Wilson's legs in "I'll Cover You".
His "sexy voice" during the introductions.
His "Yeah daddy" or comment to that effect during Out Tonight.
Nice things to talk about. Hahaa
It was kind of like, "Adam, with that statement, no wonder people might reconsider your....ahem"

I didn't know that they filmed the performance on the night of Jonathan's death until I watched the documentary with the clip of Adam singing Glory. Of course, I immediately thought, "WHAT is he wearing?" :P
Typical Adam.
I love his comments during I Should Tell You. "I tried to get a lil tongue in there, but she wasn't having it." Hehehe. Oh Adam, how you make me laugh.

I was partial to the suspenders myself
That tie also classic...
"YEAH DADDY"
hahahahahaha.
There's also the audio of Jesse's "I'll Cover You (Reprise)" that plays.
Double post.
I was wondering if that was from that first performance, though. If that was filmed, wouldn't we have seen something from it before this? I'm thinking they took footage from him singing Glory at some other time.

I don't think so. It was only for friends and family, and a very emotional performance. I'm sure they wanted to keep it to themselves.
Did you double post four minutes after your original one Fantab?!
I immediately assumed that the footage was for that performance, especially since you can hear a woman gasping and crying in the background of Glory. A lot of that other footage was kept within the Larson circle of friends and family - as well as information about Jonathan's earlier works.
They may have kept it for his family, or something. I think a lot of the footage of Jonathan that's in the documentary has thusfar been kept a secret.
I also remember Anthony saying that they wore their headsets for that performance. Adam was singing into a mike. I think this was from some place else, maybe even the memorial for Jonathan. He sang Glory there.
It could be from the memorial service.
