hahaha...i just finished watching it. Oh, Adam.
and Rosario's audition tape? ughh. and they hired her on the spot??
I was thinking the same thing about Rosario.
I should be writing my essay (or going out somewhere!) but I can actually foresee this being a staying in and watching Pride and Prejudice kind of night.

I was just making sure :)
Let's all take a moment for Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy...

I think that deeerves a moment.... or ten.
My favorite scene is where he gets out of the bathtub and looks out the window and sees Elizabeth playing with the dogs. He just looks so intense and brooding and... ahh.

I just need to interject...
I'm a Colin Firth fangirl, at heart.
I just finished watching Rent with my father. Out of my parents he's the one that seems more bothered, not exactly the right word but it's the best to describe it, with homosexuality. After watching the movie I asked him what he thought. He said he liked it, and it wasn't as "flaming" as he thought it was going to be. I can usually tell if he's into something if he's taping his fingers along to the music, which he was doing for Out Tonight. I'll Cover You seemed to surprise him by the end of the song, I think this was his surprise to how the two men could fall in love and not have it as in your face as he thought it would be. During What You Own he mentioned that he thought that guy was gay during Seasons of Love. I asked which guy, and he said Roger. "It looked like he was wearing lipstick." Overall he enjoyed it, I don't think he'll be watching it again any time soon, but wouldn't be opposed to it in the future.
It's good that he wasn't against the movie. What he said about Adam is funny.

There ends my help. Haha
What was weird was that when I watched it with my parents, my mom was more disturbed..and she's seen the show on broadway before. During Maureen and Jonne's kisses, she spent the whole time going "ew ew ew". Then during What You Own, when Mark and Roger hug she goes "They're lovers?". Clearly she was not following. She refused to believe that Wilson was a boy. I was like no really mom, it's a boy, he's just really pretty.

That's good to hear! My dad actually went to the movie with me when it first came out...which was surprising in itself. Afterwards at lunch we had a really good conversation about the movie, the show, issues addressed in it, comparisons between the movie and the show. He wasn't negative towards it at all, which was enough to make me happy.
My mom and neighbor (who's practically my second mom) liked the movie better than the musical. My neighbor thought having it on location really helped it. My mom liked it better because of the locations, and its (for the most part) the voices that she knows from the OBCR.

My family is pretty liberal, so I don't really have to worry about their opinons on homosexuality. I'm sorry for all of you guys that do.
My parents are fine with homosexuality..it's more that my mom is just uncomfortable around it.
My parents are ok until they see it.

After consulting a few recipes, I'm going to make Apple Streusel. Mainly because I have several apples leftover from last night that I don't want to go bad...
I should do banana bread next week...my mom makes amazing banana bread.
You should take more pictures when your done.
My moms been baking lately, my house smells amazing

While I despise the cleaning up process afterwards, I do enjoy the apartment smelling so good.
Same promise as last night...as long as it doesn't look like a 5 year old's art experiment, I'll take pictures :)
"It looked like he was wearing lipstick."
BWAHAHAHAHA.
I took my mom to see the movie, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much she enjoyed it (as soon as we got home, she ordered tickets to see it on Broadway and asked me to put the movie soundtrack on her iPod). I didn't even bother with my dad - in addition to his political views being pretty much the polar opposite of mine, it's been a good 6 or 7 years since he's actually gone to see a movie, since you can't channel-surf at the movie theater.
I'm really an emotional wreck this week - tonight, I went to see a play that was a romantic comedy in which the main character was a cat, for God's sake, and it made me cry.
