re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

It seems to be snowing more than ever here on Long Island. Apparently this is shaping up to be a record-breaker.

Emcee, the whole issue has become so confused, what with everyone speculating and replying to who knows what. The important thing is that a number of people (and they don't seem to be just from BWW) have commented on how the secret was inappropriate. I hope that is some consolation to you.

It's still snowing so hard!! re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six I love snow. Hey, I wonder how many blizzards Adam will think this adds up to be! re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six I think it should be 20.

Chloe, I just have to stop second guessing and wondering if he did or would do something like that. It's also consolation to know that even though I would feel AWFUL if I ever said something that hurt him online, he likes me in person. I know it doesn't take away anything that I might have done, but... in some screwed up way it helps. It's amazing how much pain the idea that someone you admire so much like that might not like you, when you're so careful.

It's still also so curious that they picked him and not Adam. But maybe it's because the way Adam feels about me isn't a mystery.

Allie, I just used up the last of my milk for some hot chocolate. (How can I let a snow storm go by without having some hot chocolate?)

It occurs to me that Adam seems like a completely different person singing in Rent, Aida, Cabaret and Chess. It's not just how he looks, which is very different in all of them, but how he uses his voice. Sometimes it's subtle, like in Pity the Child. The way he enunciates everything makes me feel that Freddie is this prickly, OCD kind of person.

I'm with Chloe. Really, out of everyone, who has actually supported that secret and the comments about Raul? What, one person (probably the person who made it)? This is all probably the work of one malicious person.

I only like snow when it looks pretty and white, not when it gets all slushy and brown re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

Grocery stores here are closed on Sundays, so I REALLY want to buy milk, it's going to be a lot more expensive from a corner store. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

Post your pics, Fantab! I wish I had a digital camera so I could post some, too. It's so pretty here!

Chloe, I've noticed that too. As has my mom, and she always wants an explanation for it. The difference between Rent and later stuff I think it maturation of his voice, etc. But I think a lot of it can be put up to versatility. He also sounds much different when he sings his own music than when he sings for theatre.

*shrug* Well, I love him. And he knows that. So what can I do?

Em, don't torture yourself with that thought about Raul disliking you. It is so very, very unlikely. Here's what *does* seem much more probable. A big Raul fan has tangled with you here over something or other and chosen to get back at you in this cowardly, underhand way. They chose Raul because that's who they care about, and Anthony because he's been getting the "fame whore" stuff lately. I'm sure it must be awfully disturbing to know that someone feels so negatively about you, but that's really so much more about them than you.

ETA: clarifying to indicate I'm not replying to you about Adam!

Judging from the railing of my deck, I'd say we have a little over a foot and a half of snow here in Central Jersey...maybe we'll have a snow day tomorrow!

On IMDB, someone posted a message saying that she talked to her vocal director about the maturation of men's voices. She said that her director said that a man's voice peaks in his 30s and doesn't really go downhill until 55. According to this girl and her vocal director, there's no real way that Adam's voice could have changed so drastically from the Rent OBCR to the movie soundtrack without Adam intentionally trying to sing differently on the movie soundtrack.

Of course, I don't know if this information is even accurate or if it includes the whole questionable "smoking factor," but just some food for thought.

The way he enunciates everything makes me feel that Freddie is this prickly, OCD kind of person.

I wish I could show you pictures of my back yard. The fir tree branches are bending almost to the ground with their loads of snow, and the bushes and dead plant stems all have a two or three inch coating.

What IMDB chick posted is true. Women's voices peak earlier than mens (mid to late 20s). Men don't fully peak until their early to mid 30s, and it declines later than women. This of course is in a perfectly healthy voice (no damage, no smoking, etc).

Yay! I got snow!

Maybe "maturation" wasn't the right word to use. I mean that like... well, just listen to the difference. He sounds less throaty and more relaxed from one to the other. I don't think it's natural 'maturation' per se, but more that he learned to sing in a different way, and one that was better for his voice. I think he also can consciously change his style, but the difference in Rent seems, logically to me, time-based.

Chloe, yeah, it is hurtful to think that. But... the fact that the person who made the secret is someone I care about less than the actor means that truthfully, I worry more about the latter than the former. If some jealous fan doesn't like me, whatever. If someone I've projected so much appreciation and support toward doesn't, that's not happy.

Pretty pictures! I won't bore you all with pictures of my alley.
