On IMDB, someone posted a message saying that she talked to her vocal director about the maturation of men's voices. She said that her director said that a man's voice peaks in his 30s and doesn't really go downhill until 55. According to this girl and her vocal director, there's no real way that Adam's voice could have changed so drastically from the Rent OBCR to the movie soundtrack without Adam intentionally trying to sing differently on the movie soundtrack. Maybe "maturation" wasn't the right word to use. I mean that like... well, just listen to the difference. He sounds less throaty and more relaxed from one to the other. I don't think it's natural 'maturation' per se, but more that he learned to sing in a different way, and one that was better for his voice. I think he also can consciously change his style, but the difference in Rent seems, logically to me, time-based.
Chloe, yeah, it is hurtful to think that. But... the fact that the person who made the secret is someone I care about less than the actor means that truthfully, I worry more about the latter than the former. If some jealous fan doesn't like me, whatever. If someone I've projected so much appreciation and support toward doesn't, that's not happy.
Pretty pictures! I won't bore you all with pictures of my alley.
