re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

Yuck, snow. At least I won't have the possibility of going out somewhere to distract me from the homework I've been putting off all weekend.

Oh -- I didn't post that in response to your post at all, Em. I just thought that since we were discussing the topic of his voice, you all would be interested. Heh. Anyway, I agree with you, Em. It seems like he's learned to sing in a different manner.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

I have a feeling I'm not going out today. One of my friends here is from California so this is her first big snow. She might want to go venture out into it but I'm not sure I can handle it this morning.

I think you have to take into account the situations that both were recorded under. The OBCR was recorded when they were all just being introduced and figuring out how to sing and make it through 8 shows a week. (Hasn't it also been said the OBCR was like, thrown together in very little time?) The soundtrack was recorded before the movie, when they had time to relax (so to speak), and really prepare. I think they've also become a lot more comfortable with their voices, what they can and can't do healthily, etc.

I'm going to shut up now...haha...

And now that I've officially killed the thread...to church I go...

Miraculously, the snow still looks all clean and pretty from the view out my window.

I agree that Adam can definitely sing in different styles, but then there are always certain little vocal characteristics that remind you that it's him. I can't listen to the beginning of Fortune Favors The Brave, for example, without thinking "OMG it's Roger!" because that growly sound that Adam used in RENT is there.

Guess where it's not snowing re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six. Hasn't snowed in two days re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six. I love those pictures Fantab, I'm a history major and I just love the architecture of the older buildings. That's why I love going to downtown Toronto so much. The buildings are gorgeous.

CS, I definitely need to take some nice pictures of the campus here in the spring when everything gets really pretty again. I'll be sure to post them for you!

I love that too, Snowbird. In the part of the city where I am, you can walk down one block and see buildings in 4 or 5 different styles all lined up next to one another. It's so cool.

I've been to Ellis Island once. It was amazing. I could've spent the whole day there, but we were only one day in New York and we had to go see the Statue of Liberty, and get back to New Jersey where we were visiting friends.
