I agree. I LOVE the movies.
Oh, I loved those books/movies. I always related to Anne because I had red hair, which seems so silly, but there are so few of us that we have to stick together. Right, Allie?

Me too. They're wonderfully heartwarming (say it all together -- awwww!). I own all of them on DVD and usually have a yearly Anne marathon.
Anne bothered me, I really am one of the mean girls. My roommate has the movies. You're right Lexi, Gilbert was quite attractive.
I've alwaysss wanted red hair. I think red hair is so pretty.
Oooh, Gilbert! Totally one of my childhood crushes.

Very true, sweetestsiren! I'm sad that most of my freckles went away. I've always wanted to play Anne!
I remember reading the first book or two in that series and then losing interest. I didn't know they made movies of them.
I. LOVE. THOSE. MOVIES.
They are amazing.
I've never read and/or watched Anne of Green Gables.
*ducks*
I read it..I thought it was boring.

Fantab, you aren't alone. I never read or watched them either...
If you're Canadian, you know Anne of Green Gables. I saw the play in Grade 7.
I love Anne. There's a long, sentimental story involving cancer that I could tell about it right now, but I'm too frickin' tired. 'Night, y'all.

I've always wanted to see the Anne musical in PEI, but I never have.
I went to PEI and visited her house! (Well, LM Montgomery's house...)
Fantab and Amber, you should definitely rent the movies. They make for excellent rainy day watching. Nice and long, really good acting, beautiful setting, great story. Yeah. I them.
I LOVE Anne of Green Gables!! LOVE!
I watched the movies, and read all of the books. Love it!
Oooh, Allie, we have the cast recording of that musical!
"Humble pie, humble pie, if you can do it, so can I!"
"And we're kin-DRED spi-RITS, loyal and true, all our lives through, we two!"
They didn't sing in the play I saw.

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the books. In most cases where a book has been adapted for film, I generally prefer the book, but the movies are absolutely amazing. Montgomery's writing style isn't the most stimulating.
I agree, SD. I prefer the movies, though I read all the books and greatly enjoyed them.
I didn't actually see the show, but we got the cd.
