I don't know much about steroids - could they be keeping you up?
I just remembered valerian, which I've taken on occasion. It's a mild herbal remedy that doesn't create dependency. You can get it as a tea, but it has quite a strong odor. The taste is okay once you get it in your mouth. There's also a liquid extract form which I think I'll try tonight.
it always works for me, if you go to bed really late and then set your alarm clock really early, you'll be tired all day and by night it'll be easier to fall asleep.
That never works for me. I'm always dead tired all day and then night time comes and I get a second wind. I really need to start getting more than 3-4 hours sleep a night, but I really like my quiet time after the kids go to bed. I hate to waste that precious time sleeping!

That's exactly what they're doing Chloe. I get all jittery after I take my puffers.
Hi tip - I never quite grasped how this is a thread of insomniacs before. It's quite appropriate since insomniak started the very first one of these.
I've also been noticing that the thread tends to pick up around 9, and goes a little late, and is really slow in the mornings, and during the day when I'm supposed to be in class.
Because anyone who might be free to post in the morning is actually asleep.
I'm awake, but then I'd be talking to myself, so that's no good.
I go on for like 5 minutes in the morning, and then I go to school and don't come home until around 3:30.
This is from a few pages back (about The Awakening).
And she f*cking commits suicide at the end. I remember thinking, "I suffered through all of that for that ending?!"
My class and I are reading it now (I'm on like...page 60 or so), and we weren't supposed to know the ending (even though 2 people know it. One looked in the back and the other had it spoiled by a friend). I was using my willpower to not look in the back of the book ALL DAY and then I come on here and find it out. XD
It's not...too bad. It's slow--well, where I'm at it's moving along, but in the first 10 chapters it's kind of boring. I'm not...hating it. But, my teacher did say I may hate her in the end...I think I have to read the ending when I get to it and then I'll decide.
This is just...so ironic.
Okay, carry on.

I'm sorry, Rogue! Ack!
HAha It's ok. I didn't look in the back, and you have cured my curiousity!
I hate when people spoil the endings of things.

Me too!
To Chloe and those who downloaded the song she posted last night: Does it cut off in the middle of a chorus for anybody else, or did this happen when I changed it into an MP3?
The song itself doesn't cut off, but I haven't downloaded it, for obvious reasons. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe you should try downloading it again, Allie.

It worked fine for me and I converted it to mp3. Would you like me to send it to you?

CONVERTED. I was like, "What is that word?!"
That would be great, Snowbird, thanks. It's so weird. I had to convert it to m4a in iTunes, then use another program I downloaded to get to an mp3.
Alright, it's uploading.
Allie, you can convert songs to mp3 with iTunes. When you right click on a song, in the same drop-down bar as the Get Info function, there's an option underneath that says "Convert Selection to mp3".

If this isn't the one you wanted, let me know.

I only have "Convert selection to AAC". I can't even rip a CD as MP3 on my computer.
Thanks, Snowbird. Yay, Megaupload... I hadn't had my daily dose of local BREASTS today.
Always here to help .
Bump. My computer's being stupid, and it won't let me download anything.
it always works for me, if you go to bed really late and then set your alarm clock really early, you'll be tired all day and by night it'll be easier to fall asleep.
I'm living proof that this doesn't work. Twice a week I have to wake up at 6 AM and usually I stay up until 1 AM the night before. I'm tired all day, but I still stay up until 2 AM or so that night.
Because anyone who might be free to post in the morning is actually asleep.
So true. Why waste those valuable nighttime hours sleeping if you can take care of that in the morning? (Of course, one of the major reasons I wake up at 6 when my first class is at 8 is so that I'll have almost an hour to spend online before I leave for class, so I guess Internet dependency outweighs the need for sleep for me)
oh my gosh..without you.. amazing, thats all. Woah, I'm getting so far into it, but I refuse to read the next chapter because I already know whats going to happen and part of it involves me crying my eyes out.
I swear I did not just wake up again. The finger prints on my shoulder mean nothing. The creases all over my arms also mean nothing. Why am I rubbing my eyes? Not because my contacts are readjusting themselves.
I am so not sleeping tonight.
I just got told off for making a thread with my review of Wicked (on Broadway) because there was already a thread with reviews of the tour.
EDIT: They apologized.
I can't wait to be finished with exams tomorrow afternoon so that I can go buy Without You.
Lexi, where are you? You're missing fun Chess discussion on the main board!
