I hope yours gets in too.

I have a friend who's just getting over mono. She got sick abour a week after New Year's... where we were out all night sharing drinks and such, eek.

Oh, and if anybody wants to know how to cook chicken under the broiler, here you go: Cook until kitchen fills with smoke. Wave dish towel at smoke detector and open all windows. Turn chicken over, cook until flames form on chicken. Wave towel at smoke detector again, and cry a little. Serves one. *headdesk*

Allie, I'm really sorry to hear that. I've never had mono, but it's definitely a pain. Feel better! At least you'll hopefully know what's going on after you visit the doctor.

Ashley, I think the intellectual discussion on the Chess thread is too much for my little brain to handle for one day! Heh.

I went to take it out of the oven, and went, "Oh, sh*t." They were just tiny flames, so I turned off the oven and let it sit there until they went out. That's probably not what you're supposed to do in a situation like that, but I panicked! The chicken was really good, though.

As long as I don't start feeling any worse, I think I can handle it. There's no massive headache today, which is a good thing!

Once I was making pasta and I forgot to leave the cover off when I put the pasta in the water, so it boiled over and there were some flames, but not a lot. I got scared.

Once when I was cooking (errr....making pasta), the tupperware cover slid right into the flame and it started burning since it's rubber. Minimal flame - but still not so pleasant.

I've never set anything on fire while cooking. My parents taught me too well at a young age. Besides, we had an electric stove, so it lessened the likelihood of flames.
