I like it, I guess it's because I watched it before I ever had heard of Adam or the show. I fell in love with Zoser's character and the dance that he and his men do during his songs, so I love those songs.

In the context of the show on stage, I like them...as they really explain and show his character. However, on the obcr, I tend to just skip over them.
I love the music in Aida too. Tastes vary, of course, but it baffles me that some people hate it. I think I got Adam's favorite song from an interview he gave to a high school student while he was doing Aida. He also said that Santa Fe was his favorite song from Rent. Interesting that neither of them are his songs.
I like that funky part, where the music stops and then starts up again, in Another Pyramid. So I listen to all the songs.

He said in an interview somewhere that he likes everyone else's songs better than his, lol. That's ironic considering a lot of people like HIS songs the best.

Chloe, I think he also stated in one of the Rent movie blog interviews that he likes "You'll See" a lot, too. It's strange because I'd personally consider "Santa Fe" and "You'll See" decent, but not overly great, songs.
Yes, it's strange. I'm going to be MIA for a while, because my copy of Without You finally arrived! See you all later.
Enjoy it Chloe!
Have fun with it! I went to Borders last night to get it and it wasn't in yet!

Check Barnes and Noble- they had it early, so they probably have it still.
I like the music in Aida...i'm actually listening to it now.
I read Without You all morning and I finally got to Adam's discription. Haha...
The book is excellent. I bet i'll finish it tomorrow
I was amazed to find out that our B&N only got 4 copies. It seemed like such a small number.

SHH! Some people haven't read the book yet.

As more and more people get the book, I think it's kind of unrealistic to expect people not to discuss some of the details. Sorry, CS, I don't have the book either, but it seems as if the majority of people have either read it or received it.
Don't test me. I'll find out where you live.
At the same time SD, there are a few threads decicated solely to his book.

I'm lucky to have gotten it early and read it at the same time as my friend, so I got all my major need to discuss out of my system.
I love AIDA. I fell asleep to it last night. I didn't mean to I just did. I woke up cuddling with my CD player haha. The last thing I remembered was elaborate lives so ofcourse that was stuck in my head this morning.

Yeah, I see your point. I just thought it seemed kind of natural for comments about his book to work their way into the Adam and Anthony threads, but then again, I'm pretty lax when it comes to potential spoilers.
It's not so much as spoilers, because I pretty much know what's going to happen, butike I said before, Anthony has a style of writing that I really enjoy, and I'd just rather read it in his words in the context of the book like everyone else did.
Yeah, that's a run-on sentence. I don't care, I put commas in.
I know what you mean.. I don't read reviews on things until I see/read it myself.
Enjoy it, Chloe.
Lunch was... stressful. When I started college, I thought I knew what I wanted to study, and ultimately do with my life. Being in New York and stuff changed all of that, mixed in with some other factors. My parents were -- after spending a good bit of time blatantly making fun of me -- asking if I ever miss the stuff I used to study, and I do, but I don't like to think about it because having to pick one over the other upsets me. So I sort of just tell myself I've moved on. Mostly, I have, but my mom was encouraging me to try to explore my options again, and I don't think I'm in a place to choose between two things I really love. So, that, on top of this other drama that may be a signal to take some distance... was a lot.
I'm sorry, Em. That can't be easy.
I know what you mean Em. I've changed my mind completely about what I'm doing. My parents didn't think history was the right degree for me, so now that I've changed my mind it's been a lot of variations of "I told you so."
