re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

I think I'm sort of the other way... I have people telling me I should get into theatre, whether it be teaching or acting, but I just don't know. I'd love to act, but I've just had bad experiences with post-secondary education, and am now at the point where I'm very weary of going to school. At least for the time being. Gah, I don't know what I'm going to end up doing.

Your lucky Mel. My school has a huge selection of electives but you have like no room in your schedule! *sigh*

I know i want to study something in the theater department, but id don't know what either. I really would love to dance, but the chances are slim and i need a backup.

I hope things go better Em. It will all be ok soon

Parents are there to tell you that you're wrong and second-guess every decision you make- regardless of what it is. I've gotten to the point where I don't talk about classes and stuff with them, because I know it's just going to end in an argument.

I think I have enough room for it..but that means i'll have to be in school at 7. I can't sing/dance/act so I know I wouldn't do anythign like that and I don't really know what else there is to do. Well I can dance..but i'm no broadway dancer.

re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

I do everything, except hip hop. Tap, lyrical, ballet, pointe, broadway jazz..etc. I really love it and would love to persue it as a career. I know i would definitly audition when i'm older, but i still need something else that interests me as a backup.

Tap is my favorite. I just pick it up real quick. I do broadway tap re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

Are you be interested in anything in more of the behind the scenes aspect of dance? There are tons of things relating to dance that don't involve the performance aspect.

I don't dance, or act, but I do sing. I love being in choirs. I love doing backstage theater stuff, and I've worked backstage for a few dance recitals. Yay for Techies!

Emcee - My brother is a freshman in college, and he plans on majoring in neuroscience. He is the math/science wiz in our family. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

I, on the other hand...I'm the polar opposite. I love writing and artsy things, especially music and theatre. I'm hoping to become a writer and/or journalist when I, well, grow up. I can't stand math and science. The fact that math can't be interpreted, and that it's so absolute really bugs me. So I excel in history and literature, subjects that allow many intepretations and opinions.

I have lovely video that captured the moment. I hope I'm never forced to watch them ever again.

I think someone spiked one of my friend's drinks at my bat mitzvah...she tore the microphone from another girl's hand and started singing along with a Michael Jackson song horribly. Then she attempted to dance like him.

Let's just say that the memory will be forever kept in my bat mitzvah album. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

Interesting! I actually am hoping to do neuroscience stuff, but it's true that it's A LOT of science. We don't have a specific neuroscience major, so I'm just double-majoring in psychology and biology, the latter of which requires extra calculus, general and organic chemistry and physics. So... sometimes I really wish I were just doing psychology. It's so fascinating, though. I'm in a class right now on neurochemical regulation, and it's defintiely the most interesting class I've taken for a few semesters.

BDC is in NYC. Although, it may be moving locations soon (still in NYC). I think they were having some problems with their lease.

IHC - do you go to Steps?
