I had it once in kindergarten and once last spring. I don't remember having any other illness that made me feel THAT gross. Even the bottom of my feet hurt! I had no idea it was strep though because my throat didn't hurt in the burn way, it just felt like a lump in my throat. I was so pathetic and weepy. I am impressed with your content feeling while having that awful illness!

I don't think they were the same exact crumbs for the full year. And Mel, the table in the loft, not the life.

Just a piece of advice for everyone: even if you've already had chicken pox or have been vaccinated, try to avoid being around people who have chicken pox. It's related to strep throat somehow, and you're likely to get strep after exposure to someone with chicken pox - I got a particularly bad case of strep right after my brother had chicken pox.

They lived in a very SPECIAL year. Not only did they have crumbs on the table, it was a year in which nobody gained or lost weight or had any change in hair length or style. Oh to live in a year like that. :)

I hated getting strep because the doctors always gave us this horrible medicine that tasted like rubber bands. Finally after we complained so much about it, my dad tasted it one time and nearly retched. Next time we got sick, my parents requested the chewable tablets instead. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

I think the whole chicken pox vaccine is UNFAIR! Everyone I grew up with had chicken pox - most of us had it the same month in kindergarten. Now people don't have to suffer. I'm so mean! But how many of you had chicken pox?

Mel, the table in the loft, throughout the whole movie, was digustingly gross as it was covered in crumbs.

JL, it was a special year, although Roger's hair did seem to get a bit longer and shorter at times.

I had the chicken pox when I was four, although it was mild, so I could get it again.

My doctor used to prescribe amoxicillin whenever I had strep, until I was in 4th grade. When I had mono, the doctor thought it was strep at first, and when I broke out in a rash from the mono, he thought I was having an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin. For years after that the doctor would prescribe erythromycin when I got strep, which absolutely killed my stomach when I took it.

ohh I see.. I'm not a big observer. This girl wore the same pants every day in my gym class since September and I didn't notice until last month.

The chicken pox vaccine isn't that great because then you have to get the shot every few years.

I've had strep a ton, and I get sore throats often.

I didn't notice the crumbs. I'm kinda glad I didn't.

How could you not notice them? They were huge. (It could be my food issues but they were really noticeable).

I've had strep, don't remember much about it really. My brother gets it all the time. I mostly get full-blown sinus infections.

I had chicken pox right after I graduated from pre-K. I'm actually glad I got it before they came out with the vaccine, because I've heard that it's not 100% effective and wears off, and chicken pox is a lot more dangerous if you get it when you're older. My mom had chicken pox when she was in college and had to go to the hospital.

I really, reeeeaaally like that version of Chess, Lexi. I like Adam better as Freddie and defintely Raul better as the Arbiter, but as far as some of the other performances, I think the Danish cast has the edge. I also like the song order, and the extra songs are fun.

From what I've heard so far, I do, too. The Danish Arbiter is horrible, though. I think Sutton and Josh are on par with their Danish counterparts, the Danish Florence is better, and Adam's better as Freddie. Danish Freddie is great, too -- I just like the extra edge Adam puts on the role.

Heh, thanks guys. My mom and dad have it too. I've actually never had strep before... guess there's a first time for everything!

I've never had chicken pox, but I've also never had the vaccine. Please don't tell me how bad this is for me -- trust me, I know, but I'm absolutely terrified of needles. I will bawl for hours and hours whenever I need a shot. I'm aware that it's completely pathetic. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part six

I've had chicken pox. But I was so young, I don't remember.

I like it that way.

Yucko! The guy who plays Earl on "My Name is Earl" recently had adult chicken pox. I have heard it's pretty bad.

I got chicken pox the summer before I turned 8. My brother got them first, and we had to postpone his 6th birthday party. When I got them I couldn't go to his party, I still got a goodie bag, but we all know I'm the star of the show, so I was not happy.

it's alright. Last time I got blood taken, I told my mom I was going to cry and so she's like oh melanie, and I got the shot and just started hysterically crying and she starts laughing shes like I didn't know you were serious!

I heard the vaccine was bad for you, but I'm not sure. I've also heard of mothers having "chicken pox parties" so that their children could be exposed to it.

I had the chicken pox when I was little. I remember I was really upset because I missed this art project. I also remember watching Star Wars while I had it.

I'm honestly shaking from just reading about shots. It's the one thing in life I can't tolerate. It's so sad!

Haha, Katt, I actually went to one of those "chicken pox parties" but I STILL never got it! Updated On: 2/11/06 at 08:57 PM
