Maybe it has more to do with this particular group of people. I'm sure it's not enjoyable feeling that way, but not fitting in with a group working at Starbucks isn't really a negative. It may also just be a matter of time too. They haven't gotten to know you yet.

Yeah, I'd be worried that I wouldn't find Avenue Q funny the second time around, but I guess going in with the attitude of just wanting some fun is a good idea. Actually, I didn't finish listening to the CR of Avenue Q I downloaded because I figured that if I were to ever see the show, I wanted the jokes to be fresh.
Speaking of cast recordings, Chloe, have you had a chance to listen to The Last 5 Years yet? Dancinqueen, I'd suggest The Last 5 Years or Jesus Christ Superstar, although I'm not sure if you've heard them already.
Thanks for the nice words, though. I actually thought those working at Starbucks might be a bit of a better crowd than those working at various other possible employers here, but you're right that it might not be the place to look for true friendships.
Thanks Lexi. I haven't heard either one, so i'll have to give them a try.
No, i haven't yet, thanks for reminding me. I moved my computer upstairs away from my stereo, so I haven't been listening to music as much.
I think I'm on the computer a liiiiittle too much.

Not me. My mom limits the amount of time I'm on the computer. She's gone right now, so I'll get off before she comes home, but she only allows me one hour a day.
Maybe I need a mom like yours right now.
That's a nice av, dancin.
Thanks Chloe. I found it on Adam Pascal Online and I liked it, so I stole it. Hehe

My parents monitored the time I spent online years ago. It was kind of futile on their part.
I wonder if my bad vision is in part due to the amount of time I've spent on the computer growing up. I think myopia is something like 60% genetic and my father has awful vision, so I was probably destined to have poor vision anyway, but I'm sure it didn't help. One thing I've wondered about is eye exercises and how they can possibly help those who are beginning to suffer from near-sightedness. I wish I would have given them a try when my vision first started declining, but again, I was probably doomed to poor vision anyway.
Happy early birthday Bohemian! Hope you enjoy it
I was wondering if anybody knew when Adam sang "Pinball Wizard." I love Adam Pascal Online avatars. Hence, that's where mine is from.

It was part of a show called Broadway's Best, which either aired or taped (I'm not sure) on March 8, 2002.
... I'm anal when it comes to dating things, obviously.
Thanks for the info Lexi I Googled it & it says March 4, 2002. Close enough. =P
I have horrible vision. I had surgery when I was 3 or 4 years old because I crossed my eyes too much. I was also blind as bat, still am. I have to wear bifocals. My parents had generally good vision. My sisters & I have terrible eyesight.

Hah, the sad thing is that I'm so anal that I changed my incorrect date on the song's tags.
Maybe it's just a case of bad luck in that bad recessive genes were passed down. I really don't know too much about the genetics of eyesight.
I'm pretty blind myself. I'm sure spending hours and hours at a time reading when I was a child didn't help either.
Happy birthday in an hour, Bohemian. Hope you have a good time tomorrow.
I was the opposite Chloe. I always sat too close to the t.v. because I couldn't see.
ETA: I always used to put the book too close to my face while I was reading. I still kinda do. =P

Yeah, I definitely did the whole flashlight-under-the-covers reading when I was younger, too.
I found the People for the American Way site, and it turns out that Adam and Anthony were the hosts of that awards program, as well as singing something at the beginning. I would have liked to see that.
Thanks Chloe and pituretaker. :)
Adam & Anthony hosting an awards show? Crazziness. I would've killed to see them together.
I was reading Ben Brantley's review of Rent back in '96 & this is what he said about Adam: Adam Pascal as Roger, the H.I.V.-positive songwriter, has an enhanced, effortless-seeming radiance that should quickly turn him into a matinee idol for a new generation.
No problem Bohemian I suppose I shall make a thread for you saying happy birthday
ETA: WHile looking around the New York Times Archives I found some other things said about Adam:
"Adam Pascal, the original Roger, the punk band singer and songwriter at the heart of the show, has lost none of his sexiness and charisma. His voice, at once raw and plaintive, especially when he lets a note swell with earthy vibrato, soared in "Glory," the ballad that seems like Mr. Larson's premonition of his own death: "One song/ Glory/One Song/Before I go/Glory/ One song to leave behind."
An article that talks about the Rent movie & there's a slideshow where Adam & Anthony talk

Morning.
Thanks for that Angela
Happy Birthday Bohemian! Hope you have a great day.
Thanks for all the stuff Angela! It's something nice to wake up to.
ETA- I was so bored this morning, that I actually went back and started to read the original Adam thread. I find it funny that the only person who still regularly posts here is Em.
I posted on the original thread, but it wasn't right at the beginning. When I first saw it, it had about sixty pages, and I thought it was incredibly long. Also, though amasis and Undiscovered post here only occasionally now, they were around back then too. There are probably a couple of others.
Rentsecrets are up. Even more secrets about Idina this week. I laughed at number 25.
Yuck. I'm starting to get the feeling that 80% of the secrets are posted by the same handful of people, who then make comments congratulating themselves and each other. (I'm not talking about everyone, of course.) It used to be a little bit fun, but now it's becoming a nasty little clique.
