Hey Alex. I don't know much about that movie, except that someone uses a remote control to change his life. Why did you like it so much?
It doesn't bother me at all, Lexi. I love that smile.
I think there are certain Rent fans who think of themselves as all cool, and when they discover Adam's less cool side (which is one of the things I like about him most), they enjoy putting him down. It's helps them prove to themselves how cool they are. Because they *do* need to keep proving that, over and over.
I've heard a little bit about Click. I heard that the emotional part is that while the guy is playing w/ the remote control he misses his future or something like that. Don't worry about it Alex, I cried during The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie. =P

It was just funny, and had a good message. I'm not a huge Adam Sandler fan but I thought he was decent.
Right, Chloe. I agree and I think it's ridiculous.

Thanks
I think that's unique, Alex, which is hard to find.

Upon first reading your message, I thought you meant that Adam's not-so-cool self at times was unique. Which, you know, I'd agree with.
I always thought Adam looked adorable in overalls =P
... by a natural train of associations.
Yeah, if Adam were totally cool, he wouldn't be able to feel and express the kind of emotion he does.

... which kind of relates back to your (our?) "why brainy girls like him" theory. It's emotional availability combined with that bit of uncoolness.
Everything is one big circle.
"And the seasons, they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We cant return, we can only look behind
From where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game"
Joni Mitchell
That doesn't really relate to anything, but your post put it into my head.
I'm going to say good night. Sleep well, everyone.
I've loved that song since I was a really, really little kid.
It's beautiful but sad. How was your show?
I'm still here because my cat is still outside. She hasn't gotten with my "get to bed earlier" program.
It was kind of a disaster; and it wasn't at *the* NYTW, it was at a smaller space that's part of NYTW, alas.
I think our excitement at what we thought was the end of the show but was really only the intermission is very indicative of our thoughts.
Oh dear. I hate attending disasters. I feel so bad for the actors.
I thought the main NYTW space was supposed to be pretty small, so this must have been tiny.
...and I'm back from my crazy hiatus!
Today's my birthday, so I'm going to see Avenue Q with my family. I have a bit of a sore throat, but hopefully the show will cheer me up.
Anyway, I don't really have anything to say about Adam except for the fact that he rocks, which we all knew already, heh.
Happy birhtday guitargeek!
Ooh, happy birthday!!
Welcome back! & Happy Birthday!
Funny how Bohemian was also tlaking about seeing Avenue Q for her bday too.
Happy Birthday. Today is also my brother's birthday, he's 19 and now legally allowed to drink in Canada.

Happy Birthday! Have fun at Q
Happy Birthday! Enjoy Avenue Q!
Thanks, guys! I just got back from seeing the show and having dinner, and it was fantastic! There was a technical difficulty in one scene (the music was totally cut off) so they had to take a 10 minute break and restart the scene. It was pretty funny, and the rest of it was great!
