Apple pie with vanilla ice cream is heaven on earth.
I had very long hair once, but I finally got tired of trying to comb it after a shampoo.
There seems to be bad weather everywhere! It's sort of scary. My Summer is ruined because of all the raining. I love rainy/stormy nights but weeks of it? When it's supposed to be sunny and warm? Not so cool.

I'm going to Las Vegas tomorrow...ahh I hate packing. My room has clothes all over. Just to make it Adam related, i'll be closer to him in LV than in NY
Ooo Las Vegas is fun! I went in July too...it was incredibly hot outside.
Hope you have fun Alex!
Cybele has updated her blog & she mentions about an article she wrote for a magazine called Living Without. SHe also is writing a column for Lime.com, if anybody is interested in checking those out.

Thanks girlies!
Thanks for the update Angela.
Oh my God, the ice cream she posted about sounds like HEAVEN. I want to try some.. not the carrot flavor, per se, but the fact that it sounds good AND completely safe for me to eat... squee!
Ice cream! I just had this new Baskin Robbins thingie called "Clown Cone" and boy... That was goooooooood.
Emcee, I thought of you when I read about the RiceCream. Just note that she said anyone with severe allergies should check with them because it's not manufactured in a dedicated facility. She sounded extremely enthusiastic about this stuff though, didn't she?
You guys are making me hungry.
She did, it made me want to run to Whole Foods and get some! I'll look into it; a lot of companies like that are extremely accomodating and great about answering questions. wheeee, food!
Since it's organic, I would guess the company would care about allergy issues too.
Now I'm craving some chocolate ice cream. I'm your basic chocaholic.
Chloe - you must love St. Valentines then! I've had my share of St.Valentine's chocolate ODs.
Strangely enough, I love everything chocolate except... chocolates. I love chocolate ice cream, cake, frosting, pie, fudge and brownies, but I can take or leave chocolate candy. It's odd.
mmm cake.
Haha, I like chocolate candy and brownies, and Oh Joss, chocolate cake! The only types of things I don't like are those double and triple chocolate recipes, they're too much for me. I can't eat them.
Cake is good.
I want ice cream. But my mom is on this "no ice cream" trip because my dad bought like 6 gallons of ice cream once at the store and she said after we finished those, she wasn't buying anymore for a long time.
Sometimes, I wish I could have food allergies instead of environmental allergies, just because it would be easier to deal with. Avoiding nuts is so much easier than avoiding stuff like dust, grass and trees. *counts down days to allergist appointment*
I just checked out the lime.com site that Cybele is writing something for. It calls itself "healthy living with a twist," which is kind of cute, and is about organic, environmental kinds of stuff.
Unfortunately I've already finished off my Mocha Cappuccino Cream Wafer Rolls. Damn! I've never tried any "death by chocolate" type of things, though the chocolate souffle covered in chocolate sauce at a restaurant here probably qualifies. It's incredible.
OS- Ice cream is like a necessity of my life. I just had some delicious chocolate fudge ripple ice cream.
I absolutely adore most (if not, all) things chocolate. That chocolate souffle that you were talking about Chloe sounds amazing.
Ooh, this thread makes one very hungry! I'm trying to get away from ice cream and opting for frozen fruit bars or those freeze pop things instead, though. I've never considered how difficult it must be to select foods if you have allergies.
Sorry to hear about your allergies, skittles. Have you ever tried eliminating dairy? Supposedly milk protein can irritate the immune system and make environmental allergies worse for people who are prone to them.
Give up dairy? *dies of shock*
Seriously, though, I love milk to the point of physical dependence. If I'm not drinking enough of it, I get these horrible charlie horses in my calves that last for days. Vitamins don't work as substitutes and other calcium sources don't appeal to me in the least bit.
I'm currently miserable because I'm off my allergy medications until my appointment (5 more days). The bombardment of all these allergens that my medication had blocked out for years is extreme, not to mention the fact that I'm practically going through withdrawal. Basically, I'm lying on my bed and waiting for the baby to crawl across my ceiling.
Allergies are terrible and scary.
My only allergy is to penicillin... That means that if I get terribly ill I could die if the only thing available is penicillin. It totally cuts of my breathing, it chokes me.
The last time a doctor asked me what was I allergic to and I replied "penicillin" she looked me as if saying, "never get sick".
orangeskittles - feel better! And gotta love Trainspotting. Haven't watched it ages.

Hee. I love Ewan. There's no way I'd give up my allergy meds. They make me able to breathe
Fortunately there are a lot of non-penicillin antibiotics now, She.
I'm sorry to hear that, skittles. It sounds like you're getting a rebound effect. I don't know if your doctor would allow this, but there is an herbal hay fever remedy called Stinging Nettle. The best kind is freeze-dried. I know the name sounds horrible, but apparently it does work. Here's a link to Dr. Andrew Weil's description of it.
Stinging Nettle
Yup! My mom is pushing me to get tested for all of those antibiotics but she's failed to get me in for the last five years. I really should go soon, though.
