That sounds like a good idea. You don't want to wait until you really need one.
I've listened to the 4th of July song a couple of times now, and I think it's musically not too bad, but the lyric "it's about us" really did not sit well with me. Anyone else feel this way?

Yes, Chloe I agree. It's not the best song in the world. =/
It wasn't great... I'm not surprised, really. The other one he sang was pretty cheesy, too... in 2004, was it?
Well, here it goes.

*gasp*
I wish I was still in LV then..I would have a greater chance of going.
Are you going to be there Em?
Er, no. I live in New York. The show is in Los Angeles. I posted the link just to share the news that he's finally doing *something*.
I suppose I should clarify this early on... I feel like since I got on a plane for Raul once, people are almost expecting me to go fly across the country for Adam on really matter-of-fact terms. There are very few people I'd be willing to get on a plane to see perform. I hate hate HATE flying. An hour is one thing. Six hours is basically un-doable for me without sedatives.
That's besides the fact that... it would simply be insane to even consider flying that far for something like this. Yeah, he's performing, but unlike Company, which was kind of insane in and of itself, it's nothing *new* -- that's even less justifiable.
I'm not even considering it. My conscience and all decent reasoning skills prevent me from even entertaining the thought. When you asked if I was going, my first thought was "is she crazy?" -- because flying to California to see him is outlandish, even to me, apparent do-er of the insane.
There, now it's out. I hate that my doing one possibly mildly insane thing has like, set the standard for what people expect that I'll do. It's probably made people think I'm crazy. I just wish people wouldn't ask those kinds of questions, because it just goes to show what I've made myself out to be, but I suppose that's a price I have to pay. In some ways I'm like "how can people *actually* think I'm going to get on a plane to California? Do they think I'm that ridiculous... that that's just what I do? Because I did it once, now it's a thing I do?" all of it implying that I have no conception of finances, or living in the real world, etc, or that I've come off as simply doing *everything* without regard for reality... that I might just snap my fingers and jet to LA, but... I guess I can see why you all would come to such conclusions.
There comes a time to draw a line, and I'm going to have to draw it. He'll be back.
I've just added all the information that I've been able to find about the concert at the Adam-Pascal.com Tour Page: http://www.adam-pascal.com/information/tour.php Updated On: 7/7/06 at 02:00 AM

I know you live in New York Em, I was just curious, who knows, maybe you had the chance to get out there or you happened to be nearby during that time.
Hello donna_darko, I love that clip too.
Well, i'm off to Las Vegas! Hopefully I can get a hold of my uncle's computer while i'm out there. *hugs* I'll miss you girlies! Bye! <3
Hey guys, a lurker popping in to say that I just tried for tickets and got 2nd row center; too bad I live on the other coast and was simply trying for tickets out of curiosity's sake. Just throwing it out there in case any of you are interested in actually purchasing tickets.
Someone posted that on the thread about Adam on the main board. This thing needs publicity so it sells tickets!
Well this is good news. Is there any chance that this is the show with a band? If not, I wonder if Adam will be doing any new songs, since he must have been writing for the new CD.
I'm really curious, too. So far two people from the board are going, so hopefully we'll get some details from them!
Ooh, exciting! We'll finally have something new to talk about!
That's good. I just hope they're the kind of "detail" persons that you are.
Me too!
OMG.
Ok. I never go on the IMDB boards, so I might be really stupid and believe things that might not be true, but I read that Adam is doing a concert in LA. Brentwood theatre at 8pm. July 29th. I'm freaking out right now. I'm soooo excited if this is actually true! Does anyone have any info on this?
Read the previous page.
It's also on Adam's myspace and ticketmaster, so I'm pretty sure it's true. Hope you can go, DancN.
Yay new Adam stuff! Too bad it's on the west coast. Adam needs to come back to the East Coast. Hopefully those October dates won't change. I still havent gotten an e-mail back from r/j productions. *sigh* But finally, Adam is doing stuff.
ETA: I don't know if this has been posted on the main board, but it's from Adam Pascal Online:
Tickets are on sale now for $32 plus convenience charges.
Oh. Ha. Sorry I'm an idiot.
AHHHH I'm so excited. Just bought my ticket.
Be sure to tell us all about it, and share some pictures if you get the chance to take any.
I just bought my ticket, and stupidly didnt wait for my friends to get theirs at the same time. So we might not sit togther but it doesnt matter because we'll be seeing Adam!
I'll try to take loads of pictures.
Well, you'll be closer than them.
