Hope you're having fun ponine!
For anybody interested, Cybele has updated her blog. It includes a pasta recipe & an article that she wrote for Lime.com about pasta. ♥
Ok, only one more day of this dance convention and then I can return to normal life (maybe). I'm not as sore today as I have been the past few days, but I have a HUGE bruise on my knee. I'm probably not as sore because I didn't have a modern class today, but I'm still hurting. It actually takes me a full 10 seconds before I can sit down in a chair because of the pain. Ok sorry for the rant. Continue as you were
Dancinqueen - I know you have a ballet avie but are you a ballerina or do you do other type(s) of dance? :)
BTW, the idea of AP surfing is awesome. I'm from PR so I'm all for the surfer kids. My cousin and I would walk to the beach and just hang with them. Then they walked back with us to our houses or just drive us back, which was way better. Good times.
Well, as long AP is wearing LOTS of suncreen it would be cool. The sun ages you and it can be dangerous. Anyway...
She-I have done countless types of dance. I do pretty much a little bit of everything, but I mostly do ballet
Ahhhh, that must feel good. To be able to dance to almost anything... *sighs* I hope you feel better soon, also. It sounds so painful.
I got an e-mail regarding the CA concerts. When I get new mail, a little box pops up in the corner of the screen, so I see who it's from no matter what program I'm in. The old heart skips a beat whenever it says it's from him. Can't wait to hear about the shows this weekend.

Bdwaygirl, did you get an email from Adam discussing his concerts or an email from Sh-K-Boom promoting the concerts? Either way, cool to hear.
I got one that was tagged from "Adam Pascal" talking about the concerts. I got all excited. hah.

I had less than three hours of sleep last night, but I don't feel like I can go back to sleep.

Oh dear, well maybe you can try to take a nap later on. Going on 3 hours of sleep isn't good.
Yay for Adam e-mails!
The show last night was great, and Brian D'arcy James is my new love next to Adam.
Here ya go!
Hey everyone…
So I’m out in Los Angeles, and I’m doing a couple of concerts this week at The Brentwood Theatre. The shows are Friday and Saturday, July 28th, and July 29th at 8pm.
Information is at http://www.richmarkent.com/shows/adam-pascal.php, you can get tickets through Ticketmaster:

I hope those of you on the West Coast can come by and check it out.
Thanks everyone… I’m putting some more concert dates together for the fall, so stay tuned for more information.

Yes please. *puppy dog face*
I'm sure we'll hear plenty about it. Sorry I've been around so little. Fortunately this job won't last much longer.

A regional theatre is doing The Normal Heart and I was thinking about going. Any thoughts? (I know the play's been discussed multiple times before, so I figured I could get an accurate response)
I'm almost done with work myself...one more week! Assuming physics doesn't kill me first...
Oh, Amber, go! It's kind of a history lesson about the beginnings of the AIDS epidemic, but there are human stories that make it one of the saddest things I'e ever read (especially knowing that it's not really fictionalized).

I have a reading of it on my computer, but I've yet to listen. I will get around to it someday, though.
Thanks for the link, Ashley. I just read the article. I think he seems... sad? It could just be the overall tone of the article, but the whole piece sounded very heavy-hearted.
Also, was the therapy reference a joke? I would assume so, but I couldn't really tell.
The Broadway-through-Hollywood also makes no sense to me, but I'll save my rant for the main board.

I thought that it was an interesting article, although yeah, he does seem a little sad. I actually didn't read the therapy reference as a joke, but I suppose it would be more in character, wouldn't it?
It should be encouraging to a lot of people that he ultimately really wants to be back on Broadway, though.

It's encouraging, but the way he's apparently trying to go about it just seems strange and counterintuitive to me. Maybe it's just part of a plan that I'm not getting.
And I don't know if "self-conscious laugh" is supposed to signal a joke or an admission that he considers embarassing.
Maybe he hopes to make good money (even with just bit parts here and there, he'd still be making more than if he were on Broadway) in Hollywood so he doesn't have to be dependent on the success of a show on Broadway. Acting is never "safe" financially, but Hollywood probably would offer more stability than Broadway.
I'm just glad that the entire tone of the article is that he wants to come back. Too many people run away to Hollywood at the first chance they get with no intention of returning to the stage.
