Ooh, I loved the song, too. :)
I'm pretty sure the second verse is "in a lightning flash/on thirsty ground/how you appeared, my love/the beautiful gaze I knew." After the heaven's rain line, I think it's "together, alive, in his grace." Other than that, I'm pretty clueless. Thanks for typing all that you did, though.

Thanks for those ideas. I'm going to listen again and revise what I've posted.

DancNdaMoonlite, did you go to one of his concerts? I know you went to that Rent/TTB event...
God, that's a beautiful song. The melody of the chorus is spectacular. In terms of style I'm not sure how to place it. It's so unusual.
I love that song. It's so pretty!
Yes, but what strikes me most is how compelling they both are. You want to listen to them over and over.
ETA: There's some drama happening on Cybele's blog. Someone wrote a very nasty comment accusing her of lying to promote her own interests. It was ugly. Someone else suggested it came from a jealous fan of Adam's, which I highly doubt, but it could have been from a competitor of Spectrum's.

Cool. Any thoughts you want to share with us?
Not here, Alex. They're available on Adam Pascal Online, but the site has been down lately.

Here are the songs in MP3 format. Excuse the spelling error; I didn't upload them.

Thanks Lexi and Chloe.
You're welcome. Anyone else care to help out with the lyrics? There are still some blanks to fill in.
Yeah Chloe, I'd have to agree. Jealous Adam fans wouldn't resort to intimate knowledge of vegetable oil allergies just to attack her. Eight years later and Adam fans are still stuck on the same stupid jokes (see Rent secret #19).
From the standpoint of someone who deals with those issues firsthand, I think the person who commented is forgetting the fundamental fact of allergies which is that the levels of sensitivity vary intensely. For some people, cross contamination in one sense might be okay, but not in another and vice versa. You can't really say things like that with universal intent, like that one is not the same as the other, because some people are much more sensitive than others. The problem is often in dealing with who should be held responsible, which can get kind of ugly, but cross contamination is cross contamination.
Whatever the facts are, the tone of the post was unforgivably nasty. And what was with the cryptic "hint" at the end? If you have some important information to impart, just state it, don't make people guess.

That topic really seems to provoke strong reactions in people; it's unfortunate when people, especially those who are likely adults, act in such an immature fashion.
I'm done with work for today, but I don't really have anything to do.
... I'm sorry, this is truly probably my most boring post ever.
Perhaps, but much better than the profound silence that preceded it.
Between her blog and Rentsecrets, Cybele has taken quite a pounding, but she seems very able to deal with it.
Listening again, I think Cybele's song is wonderful for its extreme directness. He seemed to be trying to put his thoughts into the simplest, most honest words. A Single Drop is much more metaphorical. I think it's about the state of being profoundly in love, and I love all the ways he's found to use various water images.

Brava to Cybele for handling things well. Why don't people think before they make fools out of themselves? I mean come on, have some sense not to post nasty comments on the internet. There is no need for rude comments at all. Stupid people.
Happy belated 2nd birthday!!
Thank you for the links by the way!

I put them on my iPod, too, for the roadtrip yesterday. I'm fine... getting ready to move to NYC, so I have to finish packing later today. We're shipping a bunch of boxes in advance. How are you?
Are there any good movies out there besides The Devil Wears Prada? I'm supposed to go to a movie with a friend in a couple days, but I don't know what to pick.
I'm enjoying a nice weekend off after working a lot for the last few weeks. It's cooled down here too, thank god. How are you? Weren't you around at the very beginning of the thread a couple of years ago?
I want to see Lady In the Water, but no one will see it with me.

We don't get any of the good artsy-fartsy movies here, so my choices are somewhat limited. I guess I could go to Pirates of the Caribbean and stare at Johnny Depp, although I find him less than appealing as a pirate.
And skittles... 23% on RottenTomatoes! Way to pick them.
